TWENTY-THREE 🧬
Donghyuck and Doyoung were rushed to the hospital almost as soon as Yuta left.
Johnny refused to answer any questions from the authorities, knowing it was only going to worsen the situation.
He didn't speak to Kun at all. The only time he did was to tell Kun not to say anything to the police.
Kun did as he was told. He didn't want to be a bigger burden than he already was.
Johnny sat quietly in the waiting room, his hands clasped together as he prayed for Donghyuck's safety.
Kun sat there, repenting his actions. He knew everything was his fault but he didn't have any other choice.
"I'm sorry," Kun brought himself to apologise. He didn't dare to look at Johnny, he was too ashamed.
"Were you two planning on telling me?" Johnny asked, anger laced his words.
"No, I wanted to but I couldn't," Kun replied. He paused before he continued, "Doyoung was going to tell you soon,"
Johnny went silent again, not wanting to speak to Kun.
He hated being in this waiting room. He hated being in this hospital.
It all reminded him of that day where Taeyong got into the accident. It was why Johnny never went to hospitals.
If Donghyuck was very sick, he'd call someone else to send him to a hospital.
"Mr. Qian? Mr. Seo?" Johnny's head jerked up. The last time he went through this moment, Taeyong died.
He just hoped Donghyuck wouldn't. Even if it was just a blow to his arm, he was still terrified.
"Please tell me he's okay," Johnny begged,
"They're both fine, surgery went well." The doctor smiled,
Johnny felt a sense of relief, tears had already begun to run down his cheeks before he knew it.
Kun couldn't hear any more than that. He was just so relieved that Doyoung was fine.
But that didn't stop him from regretting his actions.
"But they might need to stay for two weeks, maybe a month if any complications arise," The doctor continued,
"Thank you so much," Johnny thanked, still crying as he spoke.
"You'll be able to visit them as soon as they wake up, a nurse will alert you about this," The doctor gave another smile before he walked away to tend to other patients.
