Chapter 6

Cameron's POV:

"Okay bye." Layla says.

"Bye." I say and Layla gets out of the car. She shuts the door to my car and walks up the steps of her house and up to the front door. She turns around and looks t me for a second and then walks in. I wait there for a second for I don't know why. I just feel like she will need me.

"She doesn't need me." I say to myself.

I shake my head and start my car. Once I started it I was about to take off when I heard a scream. I slammed on my brakes. I fling my car door open and run to her front door. I open her door and see Layla on her knees crying and screaming. I then look at what she is crying and screaming about. It was her cat... She loved her cat so much. I then rush over to her and hug her. She hugs me back and sobs into my shirt.

We-we found him lying in front of the door." Her mom says sniffling.

I look at Layla who is crying which makes me cry. I start to tear up then a tear rolls down my cheek.

After Ricke says it was a knife that killed the cat I felt like I was going to puke. I remember from Disney Land of what Madison said. She had said I could kill her cat,dog, friends...I now know what she picked.

"Who killed my cat?" Layla whispers so only I can hear.

"I don't know." I lie.

"We are going to Burry him, would you like to come?" Her mom asks her.

"No thank you." Layla says looking down.

Her mom nods and walks outback with her brothers nod they close the door. I look at Layla who has a few tears rolling down her cheek. I wipe them away and look at her. She looks back t me.

"Well-" I start but Layla's phone rings.

She looks at it and covers the callers name.

"We'll I have to take this." She says.

"Okay? Um anyway if you need anything just call me, Nash, or Matt." I say.

"Alright and thank you Cameron being here with me." She says her phone still ringing.

"Anything." I say then walk out the door. I then climb in my car and sigh. Anything...I always use to say that to her.

Layla's POV:

After Cameron left I answered my phone.

"Hey Shawn." I say.

"Hey so you ready?" He asks.

I look at the clock and it's already 6!

"Yeah." I say looking down that I'm still in my school clothes.

"Great be over in a sec." He say and hangs up.

I run upstairs and throw on jeans and a nice top. I then run into the bathroom and do my makeup. I look my hair and decided its fine. I then run downstairs and put on my shoes. I then see my mom and brothers come back for barring Luke.

"Where are you going?" My mom asks.

"Um Shawn is taking me on a date." I say.

"Oh your dating Shawn?" She asks.

"Yeah." I say.

"That's great. I'm just glad your over Cameron." She says with a smile.

I smile back and then the door bell rings. I rush to the door and open it. I open it and smile. Shawn was there in jeans and a lite blue T shirt. He looked really good.
