Chapter 7

Layla's POV:

(The next day)

I wake up with wet tears on my face. Last night when I got home I went into the bathroom and slit my wrist. I don't know how to explain it but cutting just helps me because..once the cut heals it means your problem is over. That's how I think of it.

I get up and see my wrist has dry blood on it. I go into the bathroom and wash it off. I dry my wrist and frown. I really needed to hide them. I found all my bracelets and put them on.

"Layla hurry up your going to be late!" My mom yells.

"Okay!" I yell back.

I throw on a shirt that says "Music for life" on it and a pair of jeans. I grab my black Convers and run to the living room. I flop on the couch and tie my shoes.

"Layla you have to eat." My mom says.

"Um..I'm not hungry." I say.

My mom turns around and gives me a funny look.

"Your not hungry?" She asks.

"Yeah." I say.

I then grab my backpack and phone and earbuds. I spay on perfume will quick and then open the door. But I stop when I feel a hand on my shoulder. I turn around to my mom standing there.

"Are you alright?" She ask looking concerned.

"Yeah I'm fine." I say with a small smile.

I then turn back around and walk out the door. I start walking when a car pulls up behind me.

"Get in the car." They say in like a bat man voice.

I look at them funny wondering who it was because I couldn't see there face.

"Ahhhhhhh!" They yell and I jump.

I then see Brooke and Jade stick there heads out cracking up.

"Dudes." I say laughing.

I get in the backseat while Brooke is driving and Jade is sitting shotgun.

"Sorry but we just really wanted to do that." Brooke says to me smiling.

We drive to school with music playing. Finally we make it to the parking lot and Brooke was about to turn the car off when one of Shawn's songs come on. It was "Show You".

"OH MY GOD THATS SHAWN!" I say freaking out.

They look at me funny then laugh.

"Good for him." Jade says smiling.

"Yeah I'm happy for him." Brooke says.

"Yeah but not as happy as Layla." Jade says looking at me.

I smile and get out of the car and run onto campus while Brooke and Jade are walking. I see Shawn and I run up to him hugging him.

"Whoa did I do something?" Shawn asks hugging me back.

I let go of him still smiling.

"YOUR ON THE RADIO!" I yell.

Shawn's yes light up and he starts freaking out.

"ARE YPU SERIOUS!" He says excited.

I smile and he picks me up and kisses me. We then pull apart and I look and see everyone starring at us. Then I see Brooke and Jade both jaws open.

"Oops forgot no one knows about us except Matt." I whisper to Shawn.

"Who cares. I kinda wanted us to be out there." He says with a smile on his face.
