Chapter 16

Brooke's POV:
"So I guess I'll see you tomorrow." Jack says smiling.
"Bye." I say tucking a hair behind my ear smiling.
He smiled at me one last time then started walking off to Shawn.
I sighed and felt so happy inside. I was standing there smiling until I felt someone slap me in the arm.
"Hey!" I yelled turning around seeing who had hit me.
"What is wrong with you!" Layla yelled at me.
"Excuse me?" I asked getting pissed.
"How can you be doing this to Matt?" Layla asked getting upset.
"Doing what!" I yelled.
"Hanging and flirting with Jack!" She yelled and almost everyone turned around. We were in the parking lot of the hospital.
"I am not!" I yelled.
"Oh okay." She said crossing her arms.
"You know what! Stay out of my relationship okay!" I yelled in her face and turned to Jade.
"Come on Jade! Were leaving!" I yelled grabbing her arm.
Why does she have to be so nosey all the damn time.

Layla's POV:
I stood there stunned. Did she just freaking do that? Wow...okay. I was just trying to get her mind right.
"Oh my gosh! What happened?" Shawn asked jogging up to me.
"I really don't even know." I said watching her and Jade drive away.
I turned to Shawn and started to tear up. Brooke and I have never yelled at each other like that before.
"Come here." Shawn said opening his arms out.
I smiled a little and hugged him. He wrapped his arms around me and started smoothing down my hair. My stomach started to tingle and I felt just..so happy. I smiled and we started to rock back and forth in our hug. We just stood there until I heard someone clear there throat behind us.
"Excuse me." Cameron said.
Shawn and I let go of each other and I blushed a little.
"Oh..um I got in a fight with Brooke and Shawn was just trying to comfort me..that's all." I said.
"Yeah I swe-" Shawn started but Cameron stopped him.
"Come on Layla we are leaving." Cameron says grabbing my hand and yanking me to the car.
"Um excuse me!" I yell yanking my arm back.
"Layla come on!" He yells grabbing both my arms.
"Stop Cameron!" I yell.
He has a tight grip on my arms and it's starting to hurt me.
"Stop Cameron!" Shawn yells and runs up to us.
"Shawn stay out of this!" Cameron yells.
"You're are hurting her!" Shawn yells.
Shawn rushed over and rips his grip off me. I run up to Shawn and sob.
"Layla..I don't know what-" Cameron starts but I stop him.
"Just..leave it." I sob into Shawn.
"Come on." Shawn says and leads me to his car. We both hop in and I bring mg knees up and cry into them. Shawn starts to rub my back.
"What was that?!" I sob into my knees.
"I don't know Layla." He says.
"He hurt me." I whisper, tears running down my face.
"I'm so sorry Layla..this is my fault." He says.
I look at him.
"Why do you think that?" I ask wiping my tears.
"Because I made Cameron mad." He says.
"So? He shouldn't of acted like that." He didn't have to hurt me like that." I say starting to tear up again.
Shawn looks at me and nods. Then he starts to sing.
"I love it when you just don't care"
"I love it when you dance like there is nobody there"
"So when it gets hard don't be afraid, we don't care what them people say"

Shawn stops and looks at me.
"That was amazing Shawn." I say smiling.
"Thanks...but that's all I got so far." He says.
I looked at him and smiled.
"You are very talented Shawn." I say.
"You are too!" He says.
I smile.
"You know..back home I used to sing to my sister almost every night. And when she was upset..I would sing and she would smile and hug me."Shawn says smiling.
"That's so cute." I say smiling.
We just look at each other and I notice the car is running.
"Well I better drive you home." Shawn says putting the car into drive.
"Thanks...what about Jack?" I ask.
"He went with Cam and Matt." He says taking off.
"Oh." I say.
We start to drive and all the sudden my phone goes off. I take it out and look..it was Cameron. I don't answer it and stick it back into my pocket.
"Who was it?" Shawn asks.
"Cam." I say.
"Oh." He says.

Finally we made it to my home and he turned off the car.
"Thank you Shawn." I say.
"Of course." He says smiling.
"I guess I will see you tomorrow then." I say.
"Okay." He says smiling.
I get out of the car and start to walk up the steps of my house until I turn back around. I run back and get back Into the car and hug him. He hugs back and dubs my back.
"Bye Shawn." I whisper.
"Bye Layla." He says.
I then look at him and kiss his cheek.
He smiles at me and then I get out again and walk up the steps of my house and walk inside.
I close the door and sigh smiling.
"There you are!" My mom says hugging me.
"Hey mum." I say.
"So how is Nash?" She asks.
"He woke up!" I say smiling.
"That's great!" She says.
"We'll I'm gonna go to bed." I say heading to my room.
"But it's only 8:30." She says.
"I know..but I'm tired." I say.
"Okay..goodnight." She says.
"Goodnight." I say walking into my room and closing the door.
I take my clothes off and put on a big sweater and jump into bed. I lay there and think about what happened today.
How could Cameron do that to me? And why did I feel so happy every time I was around Shawn? Stop Layla you are dating Cameron..but will I for long? I look at the necklace Shawn got me and sigh. Who?
