Ash and I sat in silence after I asked that question.
"I... don't know," Ash shivered. "I wouldn't be able to live with myself if Lysandre killed you."
"Let's pretend I didn't even ask that question. That won't even be something we need to worry about because we're aura guardians, and he can't beat us."
"Right." Ash nodded.
"I love you, Ash, nothing will ever happen to us, I promise," I replied.
"I love you too," Ash stated.
He pulled me into a kiss and we stayed there for a good minute. I never wanted his lips to leave mine. If Ash died because of Team Flare, I'd have no one left. The kiss we shared refreshed my mind. My stress went away without hesitation.
Soon, I pulled out of the kiss to go to my bed.
"Goodnight," I said.
"Goodnight," Ash replied.
I fell asleep with ease.
Soon enough, the sun rose from the ground, and it was morning. Ash and I put our clothes on, and then left the Pokémon Center. We were setting out on our adventure, finally.
The breeze blew my hair around. I looked at the forest's dirt path we walked on from Pallet Town. It was full of dust and ashes from the bomb that hit yesterday. I turned around to see a nicer route. Ash and I strolled down there. It was a forest filled with beautiful oak trees.
"The nature in Kanto is beautiful," I stated, walking down the dirt path.
"Yeah. We're about 50 miles away from the next city," Ash explained.
"So it's going to take us about 10 hours?" I asked.
"About," Ash shrugged. "It's fine, though. We're on an adventure, right?"
"Right." I smiled.
We walked down the path some more. Ahead of us, I noticed a girl with light blue, icy-colored hair. Her skin tone was pale and had beautiful sky blue eyes. I looked at her clothing. She had a blue crop-top with some denim, ripped-jean shorts. She had a little necklace on, it had a sapphire in the middle with a silver chain. I'm guessing she liked the color blue!
I looked at Ash, wondering if he knew who she was. Ash just shrugged.
