Everything was sore. My shoulders down to my feet. I couldn't even feel my legs anymore, they felt like noodles. Time and time again I fell on the stupid American Ninja Warrior themed obstacle course. Valencia always just smiled at Ash and me.
Today was day four. I've been getting closer and closer to the end of the ducking and jumping part, but I kept on messing up. Ash too.
I was definitely getting stronger, though. Comparing to how hard it was to even jump platform to platform compared to now was a huge difference. We've been doing this 24/7 with only a 6 hour break for sleep.
Why were we doing it? To save our friends that are still alive. To save the aura race. And honestly, because we had nothing else to do.
Just because I had Ash didn't mean I wasn't lost and confused still. I don't have anything to do. Is that a bad thing? Of course not. My village just got blown up.
"You guys are getting better. Do you want dinner now?" Valencia asked.
"No," I replied. "I'm so close, I just need to finish this one pa-"
I got interrupted by the spinning mechanism whacking my face because I didn't duck fast enough.
"...part," I sighed, falling in the water once more. "This is so hard, how'd you do it so easily?"
"That's for me to know, and you to learn," Valencia replied.
I watched Ash fall from the spinning part as well.
"Not fair," He groaned, getting out of the pool of water.
"Plenty fair. After you finish this, we can get to the difficult things," Valencia shrugged.
I sighed. "Like what?"
"Getting you a keystone, mega stone, and a new Pokémon that can actually mega evolve," Valencia explained, pointing to me.
She pointed her finger towards Ash. "And seeing if your Greninja is able."
"Huh?" He asked.
"Not going in depth with it now. I need to do some tests on it first at a Pokémon Center. We can go into the village after you finish this course," Valencia explained.
"That would be great. Sleeping in an actual bed again instead of the itchy grass," I replied, itching my arm and leg.
"Nature is a wonderful way for you to release your anxiety and stress," Valencia shrugged, handing me a turkey, cheddar, and bacon sandwich. "Which I'm sure you have a lot of."
"It's nice knowing we aren't in danger," Ash replied.
"You're always in danger," Valencia argued. "If Team Flare has more trackers who knows what they could be capable of."
