~Zane's POV~

"After you and I stopped seeing each other because of Blake, I had no idea what I was going to put myself into. Blake introduced me to drugs. At first, they made me feel okay but later, it just brought regrets. I'd take it when I feel bad and get better but will always return back bitter afterwards.

"That night, when you hit Blake at that party, he came back to me. He physically abused me. I injured me to the point that I was in the hospital for two days and never even bothered to see me even after I was released.

" I came to see you that day because I thought that if I apologise to you on the accident thing, you'd forgive me. I saw her and it clicked, someone met with Blake a week before by the name of Ed. He knew that if Blake tried touching her, it'll trigger some memories. I was also told she was going to harm you if she remained with you.

"On remembering that, I thought you were in danger but the way you held my hand and spoke to me, I knew that I could never reunite with you, ever. I met Blake and asked him about Ed and he said nothing. I became more curious. He knew.

"My life was in danger. I had to leave. All I was able to get were some old news articles about him trying to kill Cassandra Evans. Some websites were purposely inaccessible and I knew something was wrong. I wanted to see you but couldn't really contact you, so I met Cassie myself-"

"You met her?" I'm surprised that my sister even met Cassie and she never told me.

"Yes. We spoke about Ed and we thought of a location tracker. It's a cloud where you can send your location and it keeps tracking till your final location. I never signed you in so if she ever did send it, you never received it."

I hug her. "Thank you sis. How did you even-"

"Computer programmer here."

"I'm lucky to have you."

"I had to make it up to the both of you somehow. She got signed up. I begged her not to tell you under any circumstances."

I keep staring at her till she snaps her fingers.

"Your phone?"

"Yeah..." I stutter, almost clumsily throwing my phone to the ground.

I have no idea what she's doing but in the next five minutes, she's done. She tosses it back to me and in no time I receive a notification.

Her location.

"What's it?"

"She's not in Beverly Hills and it stops at the old abandoned warehouse."

"Let's go," she tries getting up from the bed when I stop her.

"You sure about this?"

"Positively bro. Come on..." and she's out of the room.

When we both get to the bottom of the stairs, the scent of my mother's chocolate chip cookies is everywhere.

I missed this.

I and Tay are about sneaking out of the house when my mum appears from the kitchen with oven mittens in each of her hands.

"Where are you two going?" She asks worried.

"We want to say hi to Cassie's parents and introduce them to Taylor-"

"You made up?"

"Yes we did mum. Thank you." Tay says on my behalf. We both hug her and she kisses us on our cheeks before leaving back into the kitchen.

The door is open and we are about to step out when she comes back out with the chocolate cookies packed up nicely in a box.

"Give this them and tell them we'll come visit them soon."

"Okay mum," I reply before leaving the house with the cookies in one hand and Tay behind me.

We pull up at the Evans' drive way and they have been awaiting our arrival. Immediately I step out of the car, I'm hugged by the Evans. Mrs Evans looks away from me and now at Tay.

Tay gives a weak smile.

"How is she?" Mrs Evans stutters.

"She's my older sister and we may have found Cassie's location-"

"Really?" She flutters her eyes closed briefly before sighing with a smile on her face.

"Yes ma'am," Tay retorts.

"Please come in," she says and ushers us in. "Have a seat."

We both smile and look at them, fear and uncertainty looming.

"Zane," she calls out, making me look into her bloodshot eyes. "We found her address so here you go."

She passes to me a piece of paper. "Please help us."

I receive the paper from her. "We will."

"So about your sister," Mr Dean begins. "How is your sister involved here?"

"I and your daughter spoke a month before her disappearance. We made a tracking app that is cloud based that has the ability to send a location signal till device is disabled. According to the message sent to the database, precisely to Zane, she was at the old abandoned warehouse just out of town."

"Can we trust her?" Cassie's mum asks.

"Yes we can. Right now, we need to check this address out and speak to Vanessa."

"Thank you so much Zane," she says hugging. "I don't know what my little girl would do without you."

I pull out of her hold, "It's really nothing."

"And before we forget," Taylor states. "Our mum said to give these to you."

"Oh...thank you," Cassie's mum says, receiving the box from Taylor.

"She said she'd visit soon but we'll try our best to get Cassie back."

They both nod and walk us to our car in the freezing cold. Once I start the car, Dean leans in.

"Thank you so much Zane."

I only smile and pull out of their driveway.

Vanessa better be in this address and so should Cassie.
