"Y/N, honey, could you go open the door? I have to take the dishes outside." You groaned quietly from your place on the couch when you heard your mothers request. Couldn't she just let you sit down and relax for a bit? It was her and your dads idea to host the annual neighborhood BBQ so it didn't make sense to you that you had to help. It didn't really help that lately you had just been feeling do in the dumps and just wanted to say in bed all day.

Using what seemed like all of your energy to get up, you trudged over to the door and pulled it open without even checking to see who it was. "Backyards that way," you mumbled without care. You looked up at the family before walking away just to make sure that you weren't accidentally inviting the mailman in or something. Your breath caught in your throat hen you saw who it was but you forced yourself to maintain a smile so they wouldn't ask if you were okay.

"Y/N! You look like you just saw a ghost! Good thing I made some of the flan that you love so much." You nodded shakily and smiled nervously as Sinu Cabello walked to the backyard with her husband and youngest child quickly following her. Unfortunately for you, they other daughter still stood in the doorway, guiltily trying to avoid your gaze.

"What are you doing here?" you hissed, taking a big step back when she walked into the house. You glared at her from where you stood, tapping your foot impatiently while you waited for her to answer.

"Well your parents invited everyone that lives in the neighborhood and my family lives just down the street. Or did you already forget?" Fucking Camila. Of course you knew that her family was part of the neighborhood and you should've known they would show up considering how well your families got along, but why did she have to come?

"You should've stayed home. Or you could've texted to let me know you were coming so I could've gone out because you're the last person I want to see right now, Camila." You swallowed hard and cleared your throat, hoping to God that Camila hadn't heard your voice crack. But what could she expect? She had broken up with you less than 3 days ago after a stupid fight over her not being willing to open up to you, which completely broke your heart. How could she just show up like she's welcome?

You knew that if you kept looking at her than you would start crying, and honestly you were just so tired of shedding tears over her. So what if you still loved her? She clearly didn't love you anymore. You rushed off to your room before she could see the hurt on your face, but when you heard your mom call out a "Keep the door open!" in a teasing manner, you barely had time to get into your room before the tears started.

"I haven't even been able to tell my parents that we broke up! They think I'm up here studying for a lest when I'm really crying over an asshole that broke my heart," you said bitterly while wiping away the tears that just wouldn't stop. Camila felt tears well up in her eyes as well when she looked around your room and couldn't find any pictures of you and her together when you previously had them all over the place.

"You took our pictures down," she frowned. Taking down the pictures and throwing them away was the first thing you did after getting home the day that Camila broke up with you. You couldn't bare to look at them and constantly see the girl who didn't love you anymore.

"I bet you took the ones in your room down a long time ago," you accused, somewhat shocked when Camila quickly shook her head. "No way, Y/N. Mine are still up. You know why?" You looked down at the ground since you didn't want her to see anymore of your tears. "Because letting you go was a mistake. I was having a bad day and you had every right to be concerned at how I was acting, and I don't even know why I let myself think that breaking up with you was the solution to all of my problems. I need you Y/N; nothing is good without you."

You wanted to accept her apology so badly but you just couldn't. "So what, every time you have a bad day like that you're just going to push me away and expect that I'm going to wait for you to feel better? That's not fair to me, Mila," you explained. You didn't know where you were getting the strength from because really all you wanted to do was kiss the frown off her face. But she deserved to feel as bad as she had made you feel, right?

"No. I know that life is going to give me bad days like that and that I can't run away from my problems. But Y/N, you're never one of my problems. You never have been and never will be. I love you, please don't think I ever stopped."

This time you didn't resist the urge to kiss her. "You have to stop pushing me away. I'll always be here for you because I love you and care for her. I think I'll alway feel that was," you whispered against her lips. She let out a shuddery breath and her lips were trembling, all the signs that she was seconds away from breaking down. Though you had been broken over her, you just couldn't deal with the thought of her ever hurting.

"It's okay, Camila. Whatever's going on in your mind, it's safe to tell me. I may not understand, but I won't ever leave you. I love you and need you to feel better, okay?"
