Kwan couldn't believe this.

Here she was, in a well-lit bar, with the people calmly chatting with each other, no prowling wolves on the hunt for innocent prey. There were no brawls, and no loud music. Just smooth jazz, calmness, and a relatively peaceful atmosphere.

She was seated by a circular table engrossed in her Chemistry worksheet, a pink-haired boy seated across from her, dictating to her what should be done and helping her on the way.

"Don't forget to do the Lewis Dot Symbol," he reminds gently as he retracts his finger from the paper, retreating to his own personal space.

Kwan nods in understanding, pen gliding across the smooth paper as she wrote.

It was broad daylight, and there were a few people sitting around and preferring to just be lazy on a hot Saturday.

Not this particular duo.

It turns out Seokjin was a year her senior, attending a different school than her and known by almost everyone in his institution. He was quite popular and charming, friendly with the teachers and helpful to the staffs. He was the perfect boyfriend for anyone who wishes his type, and envied by those both above and below him.

Without meaning to, Kwan also found out that he wants to help his mother in working so he applied as a part-time comedian in this bar, coming by everyday after his classes. The pay was decent, Kwan concluded, and could really help with the finances.

So he wasn't doing this just for fun.

Her mother knew Kwan was out on a study session, but she didn't say where or with whom.

She halts at a Geometric problem, spinning her pen and contemplating.

"Jin?"

"Yeah?"

"When is the triangle acute or obtuse or right?"

Jin was also smart, that was a bonus, and she was thankful for that.

She peers up at him with thick lenses, and he purses his lips more in thought to remember.

Then he meets her eyes.

"It's acute when the hypotenuse is less than the square of both legs," he explains. "Same thing goes with the obtuse, but the sign is different. Finally, right when it's equal." He smiles in encouragement, and she does the same to reassure she's getting him.

"Oh and can you use 'acute' in a sentence?" he asks. Kwan knows it's a joke, so she just sits and waits for him to work his magic. "You're acute gal." Then he squeaks that laugh of his that never fails to make her smile.

She hides her amused grin with a hand, shaking her head as she continues to write.

"I can't believe you're related to Jae," she says.

Jin gasps dramatically.

"You wound me, woman!"

Yes, ever the dramatic one. Kwan still can't believe her best friend was related to this boy. But, she has to admit both of them are very bright with a powerful presence. Their auras omit confidence, and their tempers blaze with a certain intensity that makes anyone reel back.

She supposes, it can happen.
