Roll

Sigh...

Should she stay away?

She definitely should.

That was strike one.

She didn't intend for this to happen.

Yet she found herself on the way to that same bar, back to the same stage where the same boy always stood.

What was different this time was that she was with Lee Jae, that bright girl that almost everybody loved.

And she was the one excited.

"My cousin and I decided to meet today," she was saying. "I've never seen him for so long I could practically squeeze him to death!" she gushes. Kwan could only roll her eyes.

In no time they reached the small bar.

It wasn't noticeable to many, since it was a small structure tucked away by a huge office building with almost thirty-two floors. It was a small brown square with fading cinder blocks, a hint of moss teasing the sides less exposed to the sunlight.

Jae's eyes sparkled, and Kwan wondered if she had to wear sunglasses to protect her eyes.

The bouncy girl took her friend by the arm, pulling them both inside after confirmation from the guard.

"Alrighty let's find a seat," Jae says, sharp eyes looking around for a familiar figure.

She pouts at seeing no sign of her cousin.

Then she grows annoyed.

It was amazing how Jae could change moods so quickly. Despite sharing a friendship with her for more than a year, Kwan still can't get a hang of it.

But then that face brightens up again, and the girl giggles uncontrollably.

Kwan just looks at her questioningly.

"I see him alright!"

Jae drags her again by the arm to the corner of the room, near the stage where the curtains hung loose.

"Where are we going?" Kwan asks, getting nervous. "We can't go here this is for entertainers only."

"Oh please Kwan relax," Jae says, carefree smile on her lips. "He said he'd be here, and there he is!"

Without meaning to, Kwan looks.

Oh no.

It's him.

He was laughing and drinking with a few of the boys, his distinct laughter ringing from where they stood.

Jae rolls her eyes.

"Yah Jin-ah you're sounding like a wiper again!"

Said boy turns at his name, and his eyes shine once they land on his blood relative's figure.

He excuses himself from the gang and goes over to give Jae a huge hug.

"Ahhh bogoshipeosseo," he sighs in content, Jae melting into the hug.

"Missed you too." This came out muffled since her face was hidden by his shirt.

The boy's eyes find Kwan, and electricity buzzes through the contact.

He lets go to stare at her, and Kwan shrinks from his gaze.

"This your friend?" he asks Jae without taking his eyes off Kwan.

Jae nods. "Mm-hmm."

Jin's face splits into a grin.

"Sometimes I tuck my knees into my chest and lean forward."

The girls look at each other, confused.

He continues "That's just how I roll." And then he laughs, patting Jae's shoulder as he leaves to prepare.

Jae just has narrowed eyes and pursed lips, completely unamused by her cousin's lame joke.

But then she hears a snort beside her, and she's surprised to find that it was Kwan.

Her lips were curved slightly.

Jae gapes.

"You call that funny?!"
