White blood cells are also known as leukocytes. Platelets are thrombocytes. Red blood cells are Jinocytes.
Wait that's not right.
Kwan stops writing, brows furrowing at the mistake.
How odd... she never got distracted by anything. Not since today.
Kim Seokjin just popped into her mind. She was never one to think of other things when studying.
Yet she feels her lips, surprised to find it upwards into a smile.
His windwiper laugh and nice smile enter her vision, and finally her pen meets the table.
She's had enough of studying her butt off, only to lose her emotions on the way.
She needs to cherish the people around her more. She needs to have fun and enjoy life for once, like her best friend Lee Jae and her annoying (but endearing) cousin Kim Seokjin.
Mind made up, she leaves the room.
Only for her to shut the door once she sees sight of her dad.
Aw heck... why can't she do it?
It's okay Kwan just step out and enjoy fresh air.
Once again, she tries leaving.
Walks one pace, two, and so on.
"Where are you going, sweetie?"
Her andwer was short and curt: "Out."
Her father's slightly surprised. Out? That's new.
Yet he smiles her way, and says only one word: "Sure."
Well that was unexpected. Then her father continues "You've been missing out too much on your life anyway, Kwan. It's nice you decided to go out. You're going with a friend?"
She faces her father and shakes her head with a little smile.
"Just on my own appa. Hope that's okay."
He hums.
But then her mother joins the conversation with a question. "Well then who's that young man outside the house asking for your presence?"
Both father and daughter were confused.
"Huh? Who is it?"
Her mom shrugs. "Sorry hun didn't get his name. Maybe you should peep through the window to see if you know the guy. How does that sound?" she suggests.
Her father nods, wholly agreeing to the idea. He shivered to think that a random stranger would be asking for his only daughter's presence.
So Kwan shrugged and peeked out the window, only to do a double-take and fall to the couch in a daze.
Both her parents got worried, and Kwan could no longer speak.
She could feel her heart thumping erratically across her ribcage. She could feel the blood rushing to her ears. She could feel the nerves tingling down her body. What was happening?
And she's suddenly out of breath, as if she's ran miles and miles.
"Kwan honey?" came her mother's voice from somewhere faraway.
Kwan's gaze snaps up to her, and she smiles, though it's inconvincing. She shakily stands to her feet, clutching the wall as support, and told her parents "I'm fine; just a little woozy. I know him appa, he's JaeJae's cousin. We're friends."
Without another word, she hurries to the front door, not knowing why she was suddenly eager like a puppy to see him.
"Hi," she breathes out, one hand pressing on the doorknob.
Kim Seokjin, in all his goofy glory, stands on the other side with his bright smile. He puts up a crooked hand and waves a little. "Hey there."
Kwan looks around. "Why are you here?"
At this Jin's face takes on this pained expression, and it looked so real that Kwan couldn't help but feel guilty.
"Why, don't wanna see my face anymore?"
"No, it's just that- I was so surprised to see you."
Jin makes a clicking noise with his tongue, back to being sassy and overconfident.
"Ahh Kwannie," her heart still jumped, "you should get used to my handsomeness by now. Though I have to admit, I'm too dazzling."
Without realizing, Kwan burst into little giggles.
Jin, surprised at how easy it was now to make her laugh, stared at her with his jaw hanging loose. She- she just laughed without him having to try and crack a joke!
Oh gosh, was this heaven?
"Sure, keep telling yourself that." She rolled her eyes.
She just rolled her eyes.
That's not normal.
The world is crashing, Jin swears. And was that sarcasm? Oh my-
"Kwan dear it's quite rude of you to just make our guest stand there," comes a smooth voice, and both teens jump at the intrusion.
The girl smiles sheepishly while Jin bows in respect, coming up to grace her with a polite smile.
"Annyeonghaseyo ma'am you must be Kwan-ssi's mom."
Kwan's mom gapes at the young boy before finally composing herself, bowing and ushering him inside. My, what manners. His mother taught him well.
"Oh, I wouldn't want to impose-"
"Nonsense come in!" With that, Kwan's mom happily skips away.
Kwan just smiles nervously at Jin. He laughs it off.
"You may fall from the sky, you may fall from a tree," Jin starts with this deep and sincere tone, "but the best way to fall... is in love with me." He winks before walking away after patting her head affectionately.
Sin Kwan is left to gape, scoffing as an attempt to hide the blush that was proof of being flustered from his one-liner.
Ooh that guy...
One-liner came once again from onelinefun.com
