Ding dong! Ding dong!
Yoongi closed his book with a sigh. "Who could that be? It's probably just some advertiser." He mumbled to himself.
He took his time as he made his way from the opposite side of the house, where his room was, all the way to the front door. The ringing seemed to get more furious too as Yoongi sluggishly dragged his feet towards the door.
"Coming! Just be patient!"
"Yoongi hurry your ass up!" A muffled voice called from the other side of the door.
"Ahh, one of my favorite dongsaengs has come to annoy me again. Sounds like he brought a friend too." Yoongi said.
"Hey!" the voice from outside exclaimed. Yoongi reached for the handle and yanked the door open, before leaping back in surprise as a ball of Minjoon fell onto the ground with an "Oof!"
The two groaned and untangled themselves. "I see you finally made it to the door, hyung," Namjoon said sarcastically, pulling Jimin off is butt and onto his feet.
"You know I love you a lot, but what are you doing here on a random Sunday?" Yoongi's voice was slightly raspy, as he hadn't spoken a word for the whole day. "Besides, I didn't think it was you. I thought it was just some creep coming to my doorstep to advertise his drugs or something."
Namjoon gave Yoongi a strange look, muttering "I really want to know what happens in your mind most of the time," before remembering that Jimin was still standing behind him awkwardly, not really knowing what to do as he had only met Yoongi several times in the past.
The slim Jesus held onto his boyfriends wrist and pulled him forwards. "Also, in case you don't remember, this is Jimin. You bumped into him at the shopping mall that one time."
Yoongi remembered who the boy was. However, he found it kind of hard to wrap his head around the fact that the boy he saw at the shopping mall and this man standing in front of him was the same person. It was only half a year ago that Yoongi had bumped into Namjoon and Jimin in the clothing shop fifteen minutes from his house. At that time, Jimin had natural brown hair, and a chubbier face. He looked like such a soft and cute little thing, with his thin arms and legs.
Is this really the same person? Yoongi mulled over it as he made some coffees for the three of them. The Jimin sitting on his couch right now had bleached blonde hair that was up in a half-quiff, falling around his forehead casually. His arms and legs were obviously filled with muscles. Jimin had his sleeves rolled up, and Yoongi could see the faint outline of his veins. Goddamn. Maybe if I went to the gym I could be like that too. And then he laughed to himself. Who am I kidding?
When the three coffees were ready, he back into the living room, and set down the drinks on a little table in front of the couch. "So... there must have been a reason you guys came over here, right?"
Jimin sat up from Namjoon's shoulder and crossed his legs, delicately placing his hands on his knees. "Yes, indeed there is. We must discuss some serious matters with you." Jimin said with a poker face, suddenly becoming very business-like.
"Umm... what's going on?" Yoongi asked, slightly concerned.
"You kid, you're going to scare hyung! Just tell him what you've been up to like a normal person." Namjoon exclaimed.
Jimin mock-pouted. "That is no way to treat your boyfriend! Anyway, Yoongi ssi, I have some news for you. You know the boy you like, Hoseok?"
"Have you been spying on us-"
"Maybe. But what I'm trying to say is, I think he just might like you back too." Jimin smiled cheekily at the blush blooming across Yoongi's face.
"Ugh, don't get my hopes up," Yoongi said through the heat in his face, averting his eyes from Jimin's sharp gaze.
"But it's so obvious that he likes you! And even if he doesn't, which I highly doubt, better to have tried than to spend your entire life wondering what could've been."
Yoongi swallowed, contemplating his options. There was a small chance that Hoseok liked him back, but a far larger chance that he would be rejected, and then their friendly relationship in the studio would have gone to shit too. But he also couldn't help thinking about what a living hell his life would be if he had to spend the rest of it wondering what he and Hoseok might have become. Bang PD nim said we were only working on this one project together, right? We're almost done with the entire album anyway, so if I get rejected, at least we don't have much more time to spend with each other. Yoongi tensed up just imagining the awkward atmosphere in the studio if Hoseok didn't like him back. But then, he thought about how great life would be if Hoseok liked him back, and it was just them two, alone in a comfy studio for hours each day.
"I..." Yoongi started. "How do I even tell him, though? Am I just supposed to walk in one day and tell him I like him as more than a friend?"
The Minjoon couple thought for a while, before Namjoon spoke up, looking upwards as if he was looking into a distant, foggy universe, an old memory. "Well... you might be surprised to learn this, but Jimin actually confessed to me first, and it was the sweetest thing ever." Namjoon had a faint smile on his lips as he spoke, and Jimin giggled a little as he held onto Namjoon's hand, probably recalling his confession too.
"Jimin drove me at least an hour into the countryside. At the time, I had no idea what his real intentions were. He wouldn't tell me where we were going either." Namjoon laughed a little, putting his cheek in his hand. "Then all of a sudden, Jimin said the car was out of gas! My dumbass didn't know how cars worked, so I believed him. He told me to wait outside while he fixed the car. So I was sitting on this fold-up plastic chair that he "coincidentally" when suddenly this giant fucking blimp just glides across the sky, and it says "The person behind you adores you so fucking much, will you be their boyfriend?" And I turn around and there he is with a bouquet of roses!"
Jimin laughed out loud for real and slapped Namjoon's thigh. He covered his face with his hands and burried his head in Namjoon's chest. The taller laughed and stroked Jimin's ruffled blonde hair.
"It was the the strangest and most surreal moment of my entire life, but I wouldn't have wanted Jimin to ask me out any other way."
"That's so cheesy," Jimin said, and poked Namjoons deep ass dimple.
Yoongi stared at the two, not really knowing what to do before clearing his throat. "So are you saying that I should drive Hoseok off into the woods and hire a blimp?"
"Something like that," Jimin muttered.
"No hyung, we're not telling you to do that. Just bring him some place nice and tell him you like him as more than just a friend."
"Easier said than done!" Yoongi whined, pushing his fingers through his fringe. He took a sip of his coffee and took his time, swirling it in his mouth before swallowing. "Before I start planning and panicking, are you guys 100 percent sure I won't be rejected?"
Jimin gave Yoongi an are you kidding? face. "Have you seen the pure love in that boys eyes when he looks at you? And my God, I've never seen a smile so wide. We all know Hoseok is a bright and happy person, but when he's around you, even the fucking sun goes blind!"
Yoongi blushed and bit his lip. Do I really make Hoseok act like that? He tried not to smile too wide.
"Just confess to him or ask him out, will you?" Namjoon said gently, leaning his elbows onto his knees. "It's making me stressed to see that you two are obviously perfect for each other, but too chicken to make the first move."
Yoongi sighed, and rolled his head backwards so he was looking at the ceiling. "I guess I should tell him..."
"That's the spirit hyung!" Jimin cheered him on. Yoongi snorted.
"Okay, okay, I'll figure something out."
I'm going to have to confess to Hoseok at some point anyway, aren't I? Might as well do it sooner. That would get another problem off my back too.
And with that, the Minjoon couple left, and Yoongi was left alone to scheme his confession.
