   "That man is my brother."

The words echoed in Hoseoks mind as he made his way home, while he ate, while he washed up, while he laid in bed, physically drained, but mentally ready to tear a door off its hinges.

His name was Kim Taehyung, Jin told Hoseok. And now, this Kim Taehyung guy was probably scared and alone, being brought to a lab somewhere, cuffed around the wrists and ankles. But what Hoseok saw in the picture that angered him the most was the collar around Taehyungs neck. It was absolutely degrading, and Hoseok bristled just thinking about it. The poor man hadn't done anything wrong, but simply by being himself, he was now declared a monster, and being treated like he wasn't even half human.

Hoseok barely got any sleep that night. Though physically he wanted to sleep for a million years, mentally, he was ready to beat someone up. The thought of Seokjins brother being groped at by wide-eyed scientists made him want to strangle someone. Somehow, Hoseok did manage to get a few hours of frustration filled sleep.

"Hey Hoseok," Yoongi greeted him as he stepped into the studio. "Have you seen my- woah you look like shit man, no offense."

"Yeah, I know," Hoseok croaked out, dropping down into a small couch and yawning.

"Do you- I- I'm going to get you some coffee," Yoongi stuttered, blushing and clearing his throat. "You just stay here, get a few minutes of shut eye, I guess. Coffee's on me."

Hoseok was too tired to protest, and nodded, eyelids already drooping.

Yoongi grabbed some money and went to the cafeteria. Wonder what happened to Hoseok. He hadn't wanted to ask the younger earlier, feeling like they weren't close enough for that, but he was genuinely a bit worried for his dongsaeng.

He got Hoseok's coffee quickly, and one more for himself, before speed-walking back to his studio. Somehow, Hoseok had managed to actually fall asleep in two minutes. Yoongi thought about waking him up but then decided to give Hoseok a few more minutes. He just sat there sipping his coffee and watching Hoseok. Not in a creepy way, of course. Nothing creepy about watching your peers sleep.

This was the first time Yoongi actually got to have a good look at Hoseok. Most of the time, he had his head down, so Yoongi could really only see his eyes. The boy did have good looking eyes though, so he wasn't too disappointed.

But now, Yoongi could really see his whole face. Hoseok had a really sharp jawline, he noticed. If Yoongi touched it would he cut himself? He laughed at his own ridiculous thoughts, deciding to wake the younger up.

"Hoseok," He said, patting the boys shoulder. "Wake up."

Hoseok didn't even budge. Yoongi shouted his name again, patting him hard on the shoulder, but even then, no response. Now this, this would take some thinking. How the fuck do I wake him up then?

After half a second of thinking, Yoongi had an amazing idea. He desperately hoped this worked though, if it didn't then there was no hope. He went onto Spotify, searching for a certain song, then played it loudly next to Hoseoks ear. The sound of Touch My Body filled the studio, and for a moment, Hoseok didn't move at all. Maybe this wasn't that good an idea- Yoongi began to think, when suddenly, Hoseok's eyes fluttered open.

"Is that Touch My Body I hear? That song is my jam." He struggled upwards onto his feet, wanting to dance, but Yoongi laughed silently, pushing him back down gently, turning the music off. "Aww, why'd you turn it off?" Hoseok whined, half asleep. "Turn it on." His hands reached out for the phone, which Yoongi held out of his reach, watching in amusement as the younger made grabby hands blindly.

"Come on Hoseok," Yoongi said, holding back a laugh. "We have to work now."

Hoseok groaned at the mention of work, while Yoongi tried to formulate a way to ask why Hoseok was so tired today, without seeming too forward.

"Hey, did you not get enough sleep last night or something?" Yoongi cringed at how the question sounded, but Hoseok was still too half-asleep to notice anything wrong with it.

"Just had something on my mind," He mumbled, rubbing his eyes, a cute pout on his lips.

"Like what?" Yoongi pressed, leaning forward onto his elbows.

"Something from the news last night... just really irked me out."

"Really? I didn't think anything disturbing was on the news last night. Apart from that hybrid thing, it was pretty tame." Yoongi shrugged, spinning back to his desk on one of those spinning chairs.

Hoseoks heart skipped a beat, and he was suddenly wide awake, though he tried to seem nonchalant. "Oh yeah, right, the hybrid thing," He muttered, trying to relax his whole body so it wouldn't look suspicious.

"Yes, the hybrid thing," Yoongi talked as he set his music stuff up. "Honestly I felt bad for whoever that hybrid was. Hybrids are half human half animal, right?" Yoongi looked to Hoseok for confirmation, though he didn't expect him to know the answer.

  "I guess," Hoseok replied.

"Exactly. It just kinda annoys me how everyone is treating this person like a creature from hell when in reality he's probably just a normal human like us, and feels emotions and pain like us. The only difference is that he has animal parts."

Hoseok wanted to cry. He definitely didn't expect Yoongi to react this way, let alone accept that hybrids weren't emotionless killing machines, which is what most of the public seemed to think now. But something he said really struck Hoseok. "He's probably just a normal human like us, and feels emotions and pain like us." He thought they were human. He thought Hoseok was human. It had been so long since he was called that. The last time he heard that word directed at him was more than ten years ago, when nine year old Hoseok was confused as to why he couldn't show his classmates his cool cat ears and his cool tail.

"They will be jealous of you, because you have such pretty ears, and such a fluffy tail." Hoseok smiled at his mother as she tucked his ears into a beanie. "Just remember, apart from these things," his mother gestured at the ears, "you guys are just the same. Your classmates are human, and so are you."

Hoseok smiled at the memory, a sad, watery smile that Yoongi missed because he was fiddling around with some of the buttons and switches. He honestly really wanted to hug Yoongi and tell him how much that meant to him, but Yoongi didn't know his dirty little secret. He knew Yoongi would probably accept it, but he just wasn't ready yet. So instead of bursting out into tears and thanking his hyung the way he wanted to, Hoseok just said a few words, completely hiding the onslaught of emotions he was actually feeling.

  "I agree with you, hyung."
