Early update because I can't update tomorrow

Yoongi bolted from his bed and slipped on a jacket, just barely locking his front door before stumbling to the car. The whole time, he could barely comprehend anything that was going on, with the exception of one fact: Jungkook was finally back?
Despite it being a very ungodly hour at night, Yoongi suddenly felt strangely wide awake, and aware of everything. He ran all the red lights, and before long, he was at Namjoon's apartment building. He parked his car on the sidewalk, and dashed inside, breathing heavily. Yoongi could barely believe it. If Namjoon wasn't bluffing, delirious, of high, Jungkook was only six floors away.
Yoongi willed the lift to come faster.
The lift doors opened, and Yoongi pressed the button for the sixth floor. Every minute seemed to stretch into hours.
Fourth floor.
Fifth floor.
Sixth floor.
The lift doors opened again with an annoyingly cheerful ding.
A few steps later, Yoongi was standing in front of Namjoons door, hand hovering over the doorbell. It had been so long since he'd seen Jungkook... half a year? What did the boy look like now? Would he still remember Yoongi?
The man shook his head. Of course he would. Now he was just being ridiculous. Calm down.
Without giving it too much thought, his finger pressed down on the doorbell, and Yoongi heard it ring through the door. A few moments later, the door swung open, and Yoongi was engulfed in a bear hug.
"H-hyung..." Namjoon sobbed.
"Is he really here?" Yoongi whispered, wrapping his arms around Namjoons broad back.
He felt the younger nod against his cheek, and he couldn't help but stop breathing for a moment.
"He's really back?"
A pause.
"Yes, hyung. Kook's back."
Yoongi let go of Namjoon. "Where is he now?"
"In my room."
Yoongi swallowed, and motioned his chin in the direction of Namjoon's apartment. "Let's go see him."

Namjoon slowly pushed open the door to his room, and Yoongi braced himself. He let his eyes wander the dim room, before letting them settle on the bundle in the light grey blankets.
Yoongi's breath stuttered, and he took shaky steps towards the bed.
"...Jungkook..."
The boy's face came into view. Pale skin. Hollow cheeks. Prominent cheekbones. Dark rings around his eyes. But still the same young boy nonetheless.
Yoongi fell onto his knees in front of the sleeping boy. His shoulders shook with silent crying, and he made no effort to wipe his tears, or hide his... pain? Fear? Relief?
He tentatively stretched out a trembling hand towards Jungkook's face, and brushed his fringe out of his eyes. Yoongi couldn't help the weak smile on his face. Almost a whole year without Jungkook had been eating away at him slowly. And despite the millions of questions he had for the boy, they could wait. He was just glad that Jungkook was okay.

Sometime during the hours before dawn, Jimin joined them. Now, he was sitting next to Namjoon on the couch, head on his shoulder. Yoongi was balled up in a smaller couch next to them.
"So... how did you end up finding him?" Yoongi asked.
Namjoon sat up straighter and cleared his throat. "He called me. From a payphone. You know Aqua-Tea, that seafood place? That's where I found him. He only had a few bits of food with him, and his phone was out of battery. When I came back here and checked, he didn't have any money on him either. Probably spent it on the payphone." Namjoon sighed. "This kid. Runs away to his boyfriends house, only to come back to us a whole year later."
Yoongi stretched his legs. "Speaking of the boyfriend, do we know what happened to him?"
Namjoon shook his head. "Nope. No idea." He pondered for a few moments, before continuing in a hushed voice. "I know I probably shouldn't be telling you guys this, but it's important that you know. When I bathed him earlier, I saw... his whole body was covered in wounds... and I think the boyfriend did that to him."
Jimin gasped, eyes tearing up. "No!"
"When I find this man, my face is going to be the last one he sees," Yoongi growled.
Namjoon nodded grimly. "I have no objection to that, but... what makes you think he won't be prepared for us? He knows that Jungkook knows where he lives. And Kook isn't weak either, so how was that fucker able to injure Kook so badly?"
Yoongi seethed quietly in his chair. The room was silent for a while.
"We should focus on Kookie first," Jimin spoke up. "He's our first priority no matter what. If you want to go find the baddie and kill him, then sure, but we have to take care of Jungkook first."
Yoongi's eyebrows were furrowed, but he nodded. "I agree."
"By the way, something seemed really off about Kook, but I couldn't put my finger on it." Namjoon mused to nobody in particular, but his mind was so fogged with sleep that he didn't think too much of it. He yawned, and Jimin laid down on the couch with him. Yoongi just curled up even smaller in the armchair, and they all tried to sleep.
