Struggles

  Yoongi cleared his throat.

"So uh, Hoseok. There's something I need to tell you. I won't mind if you can't accept it, as long as you don't end up hating me."

  Silence.

"Well basically... we've been working together for a few months now. And over these few months, I've gotten to know you so well, and you, somehow, out of everyone else in the world, became one of my few best friends! I wonder what I did to be lucky enough to meet a guy like you."

  Silence.

"What I want to say is... Hoseok. I really like you. I like you a lot, more than you can imagine. And I can't imagine a day when I don't think about you, and think about what we could be. Even if you say no, I have to ask this question, just to get it off my chest: Jung Hoseok, will you be my boyfriend?"

  Silence.

Yoongi ruffled his hair and groaned, throwing a Kumamon plushie into the mirror. "What am I even doing with my life?! Also that was the most anti-climatic speech ever!" He flopped face first into the bed. Jimin made confessing sound so much easier than it actually was! And now Yoongi was just talking to himself in a mirror, but he already didn't know how to get his message across without tripping over his words.

He considered calling Jimin and Namjoon for help, but they'd just left his apartment, and he wasn't very keen at the thought of the teasing that would definitely ensue if he told them his problem.

"Fuck fuck fuckity fuck." Yoongi got up and started pacing back and forth across his bedroom. "Should I just wing it? No, that's the crappiest idea ever. Where would Hoseok even wanna go? My single-for-life ass has no experience at all!"

Yoongi spent the rest of the night contemplating his single life (he hoped it would be a not so single life after he asked Hoseok out) before clocking out at 2 am.

"Mornin' hyung!" Hoseok said in his normal loud voice once Yoongi stepped into the studio.

The elder flopped down into his chair and tossed his backpack onto the small couch behind him. "How are you so cheerful this early in the morning?"

"Hah, it's not that early though."

"It's literally seven o'clock right now."

"It's only early for you Yoongs. Though you do look especially tired today. Here." Hoseok handed Yoongi his coffee, which Yoongi took gratefully, trying to ignore the fact that he'd just indirectly kissed Hoseok.

"Cheer up, old man. We only need to record a few last parts, and then we'll be done with this, and you won't have to work with my annoying ass anymore, Mr. Don't-Expect-We'll-Be-Friends-After-This."

Yoongi frowned. "This is the last day you're gonna spend with me?"

Hoseok's expression softened a little. "Aww, why do you look so sad about that? Are you gonna miss my presence here?" He half joked.

"Quite a lot, actually," Yoongi mumbled. In the quiet studio, he may as well have shouted that.

Hoseok looked down at the table, away from Yoongi, and tried to hide his flushed face. "I didn't quite catch that, hyung. What did you say?"

Yoongi fidgeted in his seat, and looked away, picking at his sleeves. "I just... I kinda liked working with you..."

Hoseok smirked, leaning a his elbow on the desk, and his face on his hand, watching Yoongi blush like a flustered teen. "I'm pretty sure that's not what you said the first time, hyung."
