"Hello? Who am I speaking to?"

  "H-hyung... please... come quickly..."

  "Wha- where are you?!"

  "Hyung please-!"

"Goodnight, Yoongi," Hoseok whispered, letting go of the elder's hand reluctantly. Yoongi had to resist the urge to pull Hoseok back to his side.

  "Bye, Seok."

Hoseok smiled, dimples showing, and walked into his apartment building, tail swishing back and forth with happiness. It was way past midnight, and Yoongi reassured him that no one would see them in the few seconds it took Hoseok to get from the car to his apartment.

He unlocked his apartment door as quietly as possible, remembering just in time that Seokjin and Taehyung were asleep inside. He stepped into the dim apartment and closed the door, before turning around groggily to get to his room. A few steps in, he thumped straight into something and fell on his ass.

"What the fuck-" Hoseok looked up, and into the sharp eyes of a huge grizzly bear.

  Holy.

  Shit.

Hoseok let out a brilliant shriek and scrambled backwards on his butt, and then the grizzly started huffing at him while throwing it's head back, like it was laughing, and Hoseok feared that this was going to be the last thing he saw before his own death...

Oh come on, at least let me have one more night with Yoongi as my official boyfriend first!

The grizzly started padding towards Hoseok, teeth bared at him. Hoseok squeezed his eyes tight, preparing himself for death. Goodbye world...

And then everything was still. He heard someone laughing faintly. Is that the devil?

Slowly, Hoseok opened up his eyes, mildly surprised to find himself still crouched in the same position on his living room floor. His eyes traveled to the bare feet on the wooden planked floor, up the legs, and towards a handsome face that was undeniably-

  "Taehyung! You scared me!"

"Ah hyung! Sorry! I was just hungry so I went out for a midnight snack but for some reason I was in this form and didn't know it until now so I'm very sorry-"

"Taehyung, it's fine," Hoseok sighed. "But... how could you not have known? You know that only happens when-"

"Hyung. I'll be fine. Don't worry about me, I'm sure I just wasn't fully awake yet." Taehyung smiled gently at Hoseok. "Sorry for scaring you. I'm going back to sleep now. 'Night." The bear hybrid smiled kindly at Hoseok, before padding back into his room.

Hoseok pushed himself off of the floor, thinking about what Taehyung had said. "I  was in this form and didn't know it until now..."

That really couldn't be good. An adult hybrid should be able to feel it when they're in their human or animal form. The only time something like that would happen was if the person was really sick. But Taehyung looked fine, didn't he? Hoseok rubbed the heel of his palms into his eyes. Solving mysteries on a tired brain wouldn't do anyone any good. Hoseok decided that this was something he could ponder about tomorrow, after a good nights sleep.

Namjoon floored the car pedal, knowing damn well that he was going way over the speed limit, but still urging the car to go faster. It was the middle of the night; who would even be awake to catch him?

The car swerved sharply around a corner, and Namjoon was thrown against the car door, but he kept his hands tight on the wheel. And yet, despite the speed, he was only halfway there.

Yoongi groggily unlocked his front door, barely able to keep his eyes open. It wasn't that he was tired from spending time with Hoseok - quite the opposite, actually - but it was getting late, and as an introvert, who normally spent his free time at home bingeing on TV shows, Youtube videos, or producing on his lonesome, spending so much time with people in general really did get him worn out. Yoongi took his time in the shower, letting the warm water massage his shoulders. It must have been more than half an hour when he finally came out of the bathroom, feeling a hundred times more refreshed than before. One little step at a time, Yoongi prepared for bed, and maybe even wrote a few song lyrics, before laying his head on the pillow.

Suddenly, his blanket started vibrating, surprising him slightly. Yoongi unfolded unending layers of blanket, and finally reached his phone.

Huh, Yoongi thought. Six missed calls from Joon? And at this time too?

Yoongi picked up on the first ring when his phone started ringing again. "Joon, I love you very much and all, but why are you calling me at-"

"Shut up hyung. Come over right now. I found him."

  "Wha- found who?"

  "Jungkook."

"Hyung please-!" Jungkook cried, just as the payphone beeped. His eyes were watering with frustration, and he reached deep into his bag, groping for his last few dollars. The phone call started up again.

"Namjoon hyung, I'm somewhere near that restaurant, the seafood one- yeah, the one with the orange banners." Jungkook paused, listening to Namjoon, then nodded, tears slipping down his face. "Yes. Okay. Thank you, hyung." The line went dead.

Jungkook stayed inside the phone booth, and leaned against the wall. His stomach grumbled, and he struggled not to think about the foods the seafood restaurant would be serving right now. Instead, Jungkook took a pack of dry biscuits out of his bag, and began to take small bites of it, trying to make each biscuit last as long as possible.

At some point, a loud group of teenagers stumbled out of the restaurant. At some point, it started to rain, and the floor inside the phone booth flooded a little. At some point, Jungkook lost track of time, and ended up connecting the stars, as he had been doing for these few nights whenever he couldn't sleep.

At some point, Namjoons glossy black car rolled up, and Jungkook was bundled up in the passengers seat, sobbing and apologizing to Namjoon while the elder stroked his hair and wrapped him up in the warmest bear hug Jungkook had had for a long time.

At some point, he fell asleep in the car, knowing that if even just for tonight, he wouldn't have to sleep with one eye open, and that in itself was a reason to rejoice.

At some point, Namjoon bathed him, and dressed him in new clothes, and then tucked him into the most comfortable bed .

And finally, at the end of the long night, Jungkook fell asleep.
