Lizzy's Pov

The small voice creeped through the door as a shadow pulled them into the room; a tug of war of sorts.  Brown curls and the sound of a squeaking brace echoed the room as I'm sure that we all held our breaths in anticipation of what was to happen after all this.

"Lizzy!" I heard her gasp out as she stumbled across the room to hold onto me. Pain sears through my abdomen better than a branding iron, my mind conceding to the torment, unable to bring a thought to completion. Without meaning to my body curls into something fetal, something primeval and all the while the pain burns and radiates. A small hiss slips through my lips and Anne lets go the moment she hears it, taking a few moments to fully examine the damage and the brokenness...Well what they could see.

I'm still trying to come to grips with it all, the long list of things that need to be fixed. My thumb and forth finger can connect around both my wrist and I keep seeing small flakes of skin fall from my lips.  Anne seemed to have noticed this as well as her eyes narrow and sour slightly. She stepped back from the bed, hesitant and reluctant.

"What were you thinking? You could of died! How do you think everyone would of dealt with that? How do you think I could handle that? I mean you two really invented a new kind of stupid." She rambled on, her voice continuously changing from holding a strong tone to one that almost broke.

"I'm sorry," My hoarse voice echoed. "I know that's not much but I wasn't thinking straight."

"Damn right you were thinking straight!" She took a deep breathe and close her eyes momentarily. I saw the sides of Anne's lip's turn upwards slightly and she shook her her lightly. "You are so lucky that I cant stay angry at you."

With what little strength I have currently, I reached my hand out to her. A slightly plea I guess. Her fingers interlaced with mine and I felt like I was alive again rather than just a walking corpse. Feeling the slight pulse of her heart through her thumb essentially electrocuted mine into action. I could feel my heat beat, I could feel the blood pulsing, I could feel my breath.

"Anyway," She continued on, "I don't think I could stay angry at you after that spectacular ending."

"What are you talking about?"

"You don't remember?" Her eye brow raised.  I just shook my head.

Not a lie suprising. That would be a first for you Lizzy.

"After our spectacular victory, Jenny Lind was about to sneak out of the tent and you decided to meet her at the the same enterance, equipped with a bow that you found who knows where." Anne chuckled lightly at the thought.

"I thought i was out the whole time?"

"You were, most of the time. I think you were awake for about ten minutes but the pain must of gotten to you because the moment you sat down inside, it was like putting out a candle."

Oh.

I turned my head slightly watching several people run back and forth along the grass with bags and papers. Heading away from Wick's apartment.

"Where's Wick going?" I questioned, tilting my head back towards Anne.

"He, um.." She began but the loud, impulsive squeak of the door shocked us both. First of all, by making me realize that Charity had quietly slipped out of the room. Secondly by the person standing in the doorway.

"Lizzy!" I heard Phillip sigh.
