Lizzy's Pov
I had the two girls with me today, Helen and Caroline had practically begged Charity to let them come out into the forest with me today. I didn't have a problem with it, I had packed a basket already since I had decided that I was going to be out here for the whole day. So all we had to do were add a few more sandwiches, a couple of bottles with water in them and another set of strawberry tarts, which I did not have a single problem with whatsoever.
We begun at the river before making our way into the forest, following one of the little paths I had gone and made up. We had to stop every so often because the girls kept asking me if the flowers they wanted to pick, we okay to do so. They were each making a bouquet for themselves and I had told them that I could arrange for them to keep they could keep a few in their rooms and that we could press some of the really nice ones.
So far they each had around twenty flowers, all of different shades and hues, but managed them differently. While Helen had them in a random order, Caroline had miraculous managed to weave her flowers together so the outer most layer had shades of purples and pinks while the inner circle had red flowers.
I have no idea how she managed to braid the stems in a colour coded order while we were walking, but hey she did it.
I took the girls to my archery spot, picking up my gear on the way. They were bouncing when I had asked Charity if I could show them how, to, after much persuasion, she said yes. I had to promise that we would you blunt arrows and I told her how to get to the spot. While I fixed the target up, the girls begun to unpack the basket. Spreading the old sheet across the ground, the two began placing out the food and water as if they were setting a table at home.
"So," I begun between mouthfuls of strawberry tart, "what do you guys want to learn?"
Their eyes gleamed as they exchanged before talking about how they wanted to learn archery because one of the boys in Caroline's class said that she couldn't do it and they girls wanted to prove them wrong. It is scary the lengths these girls will go to just to prove somebody wrong.
There just like their father there.
I went with Helen first, showing her how to place the arrow on the bow's string and how to shoot the arrow. It took her a few goes of shooting them into the ground, but we managed to get one into the forest.
"I missed," She said defeated.
"So did I when I first began," I reminded her, "I'll go get it. Just don't eat all the strawberry tarts while I'm gone." I smile as I pick up a small fabric knot of pebbles I had collected from the river, dropping them every few steps to make a sort of path towards the arrow. It hadn't gone very far, but maybe one day I can follow this path and see where it goes.
"Lizzy!" I heard the girls yell out, they didn't sound frightened or angry or anything rather quiet happy. It was then followed by an Elizabeth from Charity, to which I started to jog back to the archery site.
"Is everything alright?" I asked as I emerged from the forest back onto my little archery ground.
"Everything is fine Lizzy more than fine actually." Charity said as she stepped to the side.
His hair was a shorter, cut obviously. And his eyes held the same sort of blue as they did when I first met him. There was nothing different about him since the day I last saw him. He was there, in the flesh. I pinched my hand, making sure I wasn't asleep. But I wasn't. He was there, he was really there.
"Phillip?" I breathed out, half questioning and half stating it.
"Hey". Phillip replied with his signature smile and icy blue eyes shining.
