Kasienka walked paced around her room like a mad woman. She had tied her hair up in a loose bun and she had bits of loose hair falling down her face; she looked just like the old Nadia.

"Just calm down, calm down... it's not that big a deal." She repeated to herself over and over, though each time she believed her self less and less. She fiddled with her hands and looked down onto her bed. There lay an absolutely beautiful dress; a deep red with black lace going down from the waist. But she couldn't bring herself to wear it because if she wore it, it meant she had to go down to dinner and if she went down to dinner then.... she would have to see Logan. She wasn't sure if she could handle that.

"Kasienka, I heard you calling for me! What's the matter?" Gasped Odella, clearly breathless, as she rushed into Kasienka's bedroom.

"I can't go to dinner Odella. I just can't!" Kasienka exclaimed, not caring that she clearly didn't look at all lady like or elegent right now.

"Why ever not?" Odella asked, clearly looking uncomfortable. Never in her life had Odella had an actual conversation with one of her masters or mistresses, it was just them shouting orders at her.

"Because Logan will be there and I can't help but feel things towards him." Kasienka said in a panicked tone and begged to god that Odella would get what she meant so she didn't have to expand on the subject.

"Oh well.... just act like he isn't affecting you... just...umm..." Odella said, fidgeting with her skirt and looking around the room for some inspiration when her eyes landed on the beautifully tailored dress. "Just wear that fine dress, I'll make you and your hair look the best possible and then you shall feel confident enough that you will be able to act like he is nothing."

Kasienka snapped her eyes up to meet Odella's. That was actually really good advice...  if she acted like Logan did nothing to her, then maybe one day it would be true. Then the assassination could be as painless as possible for both of them. She could just talk to James or Parker, they both seemed nice enough... especially James, he had been good to her and she was sure they would grow to be good friends.

"Thank you Odella. We should get started then as I look an awful fright now." Kasienka said, putting back on her lady mask which covered her true identity.

"You look fine my lady- I mean Kasienka. We just need to clean you up a bit." Odella said, rushing to a cupboard and bringing out some blush powder and some hair brushes, clips and bands.  "And I know just the look to aim for my la- Kasienka." She said, stuttering on her last words.

Kasienka made her way down the long staircase, looking elegant as ever in her beautiful dress. It showed her curved hips perfectly and made her look more beautiful than ever. Her hair was in perfect, shining ringlets with a couple tied to the side to show off her face.  She had light blush powder on her cheeks to make her have a natural glow and it made her brown eyes pop. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a manly figure approaching. Her heart literally skipped a beat. She turned her head and saw Logan, he was fixing his light tailed jacket and she couldn't help but stare. He then looked up and stopped in his tracks when he saw her. He didn't think it was possible to be so beautiful. Her eyes danced in the light and her skin the perfect caramel.

"Kasienka..." Logan breathed quietly, not loud enough for her to hear. He knew that he couldn't just stand there, staring at her, forever so he made his way closer and to his surprise she didn't move but just kept staring at him like he was god in human form.

"You're coming to dinner?" Logan asked when he was standing right next to her. Kasienka blushed, wondering how just a few words from his lips could do that to her. Logan looked at her crimson cheeks, loving how the dark colour made her look so iinnocent.

"Yes, I have hardly eaten today." Kasienka said, trying to keep the conversation to a minimum. She scolded herself for letting her cheeks show her deep emotion so easily and she refused to let him know she cared again.

"Did you not cook with James earlier?" He asked, his perfect face creasing in confusion.

"We did but it hadn't gone exactly as planned..." Kasienka said almost giggling at the memories of her and James coated in flour.

"How so?" Logan asked and as Kasienka was about to explain it to him she stopped herself as she didn't want to seem nice to him; she almost wanted him to hate her.

"I don't really think it's any of your business." Kasienka snapped harshly at him, taking Logan by surprise. Where had that come from, Logan thought, she had seemed so nice earlier?

"You're right Kasienka. I'm sorry for being impolite." Logan said and glanced down to the floor in embarrassment.

"Thank you, now if you will be so kind I'd like to go to dinner." Kasienka said, glaring at him as she began to lift her skirts slightly and made her way down the staircase.

"Of course, I'll come with you." Logan said. He didn't know why but her being so blunt to him just made him want to break down her walls. He was determined to get to see the real her as it was so clear his brother had earlier in the kitchen.

"Fine, I do not care whether you do or do not." Kasienka said as she didn't even turn around to talk to him. Just showed him her back. This was going to be harder than she thought...
