James walked out of his bedroom in a set of fresh clothes. Kasienka had previously coated him in flour and not wanting to look too foolish, he had decided to get changed. Just the thought of her laugh made him smile. She was not as serious as the other ladies, not as distant. She was playful and careless, exactly the kind of characteristics James loved. He knew that she was far too beautiful for him but it wouldn't stop him dreaming.
"James?" He heard a voice say and he knew exactly who it was; Kasienka. She was poking her head around the corner of the wall, scanning her eyes across his face innocently.
"Hello Kasienka, are you alright?" He asked. How foolish was that? He thought, of course she was alright why wouldn't she be?
"I'm fine I was just looking for Odella, have you seen her?" She asked walking closer to James. She was so beautiful, he thought, everything about her made him feel alive though he barely knew her.
"No I haven't but I'd check your bedroom, she may be making your bed or tidying." He said, trying to not stare into her warm chocolate eyes.
"Thank you James." Kasienka said and turned to leave when James caught up with her.
"I must insist that you let me walk you to your room." James said smiling down at her and just like any other lady would, James expected her to thank him but he had forgotten; Kasienka wasn't any other lady.
"And why is that?" Kasienka said, her cheeks blushing slightly after realising what she just said was extremely rude yet, she didn't take it back.
"B-b-because..." James said instantly tounge tied just by her presence. Come on James, think,James told himself. "Because it's just a very gentlemenly thing to do."
"And why is that James Bellamy? Why do you think that I need a gentlemen to show me down the hall?" Kasienka snapped making James almost jump in surprise. He wasn't expecting that! Gawping at her, James didn't know what to say. To his delight, she giggled hysterically and knocked him lightly shoulder to shoulder.
"I'm only fooling you around James! And I thought you were the not so serious brother?" Kasienka said laughing her mesmorising laugh. James was intoxicated by her everything. By a mear touch, she could make him feel as if fire was burning his skin.
"I'm am! Logan really isn't that bad you just have to get to know him." James said and noticed how her cheeks turned a bright red as soon as he said Logan's name. Had he really been that rude to her?
"I'm sure." Kasienka said bluntly but not rudely. "Thank you for walking me this far James but I'm sure I can make my way from here."
"Are you sure? I could-"
"No I'm fine James." Kasienka said before marching forwards and into her bedroom. James stood there as Kasienka plucked at his heart strings. What had he done wrong?
