Wanda was worried. Tasha was hiding something. She didn't know if it was good or bad, but it wasn't like her. She told Wanda everything.
The memory of the night Tasha had curled into her and sobbed as she told her everything that had ever happened burned in the back of her mind.
She remembered their first kiss.
They weren't dating yet. She hadn't known Natasha had liked her back, until-
Until she accidentally snuck up on her in the training room. And then they'd sparred, and Tasha had pinned her easily.
Because she was incredible. And fast. Built like a fighter. But so, so, so graceful.
She was pinned under her.
Looking up at her gorgeous face, which was curtained by her hair.
She had opened her mouth to apologise, but before she could, she kissed her.
And then she went redder than her hair. And got up. And started to apologise. Then Wanda cut her off.
That was almost two years ago.
God knows they've been through a lot.
But at the end of every day, she got to fall asleep next to her.
And it made everything that the day had brought and the next day would bring worth it.
She wondered if Natasha remembered her birthday.
It was tomorrow.
And Natasha was all over the place.
Sighing internally, Wanda went to find Peter.
He was a sparkling conversationalist. And he was still in the middle of explaining Star Wars to her.
She just wanted to get rid of the feeling that something was going to change drastically, but she didn't know what, and she didn't know if it was for the better, or even if it was going to change for good.
But she knew something was going to change.
And she didn't know if she wanted it to.
