Nat paced.

She had the box in her pocket. Her palms were sweating.

God, she was nervous.

She almost didn't notice Wanda come in.

Not until she put a hand on her shoulder. "Are you okay, Love?"

She nodded, "Happy birthday, gorgeous."

Wanda smiled, "I wasn't sure you'd remember."

"Of course I remembered. Are you ready?"

"You're taking me out?"

"It's your birthday."

"Ooh! Can I change?"

She laughed, "Of course, love."

When Wanda came back, Nat's lungs felt like they'd suddenly stopped working.

She looked, literally, absolutely breathtaking.

She wore a Merlot coloured dress, deep and beautiful. It off-set her skin perfectly.

At the top it hugged her slim figure, and as it reached the floor it feathered out.

The bodice was intricately embroidered with flowering designs, light and airy, showing beautiful blossoms the colour of fire.

More designs swirled around her waist, hugging it, showing her as she should be seen. Beautiful and strong.

Her hair cascaded down her back, crashing into her back in waves of soft fire.

"Wow."

Wanda smiled, "How do I look?"

"Wow."

She laughed, "Come on, Love, we don't want to be late."
