Tian Ming had been writing the fates for the Immortals for so long, he had almost forgotten what it was like to be one of them.  He had ascended millennia upon millennia ago, now in among a people and life style he had once loved and fully in disguise as a Ghost Clan guard, he easily slipped into an old role he had once known.

Back then, he had lived two lives among the Immortals in both dark and then light Realms and both lives had seen him undergo all manner of trials.   His rise had been slow and painful, but always he was aware of a far greater importance to his existence.  He had always known that this Immortal World placed far too much importance on Immortality by adopting an elevated state of importance over those who were still climbing the evolutionary ladder of growth.

When in reality, the souls in this Immortal World, were still in its early stages of advancement.  They had certainly reached a higher state of development in their soul growth than say those of the Mortal World, but from what he was seeing and hearing since his return, it seemed they still had a very long way to go.

And this was more evident within the Ghost Tribe he had placed himself in the moment he entered their world.  Slipping into their vast army of guards and footmen was as easy as breathing and as he moved about their people with ease, he learned more than he cared to know.  As a writer of fate and one whose soul was far more advanced than theirs, he could see his mission to find his lost artifacts would not be an easy process as they were not an entirely honest people even though they tried to portray a people with commendable qualities and righteous leanings.

But still, they were not that far removed from those of the Light Realms either.  This Immortal World was really only a few steps up from Mortality and though there were a few among them who had definitely reached a state of higher awareness with the desire to move beyond this world, they were few and certainly not of the Ghost Tribe.

So far, he had found no evidence that Jin Si was present among them.  Nothing had changed, the people continued on as they had always done, there had been no significant changes to their lives and going by the rather loose and free way that they lived their lives, including their second Prince Li Jing who from memory, was doing and acting exactly what he had set out for him in his book of fate, nothing much had changed since he last walked among them.

As for their Overlord Qing Cang, Tian Ming knew with absolutely certainty, that if he had Jin Si, the mans insatiable desire for power, his ruthlessness and his need for constant movement that he thrived on, would have seen dramatic changes by now, but there was nothing at all to suggest Qing Cang had what would be considered the most powerful weapon ever to exist.  One that could wipe out their entire enemy with just one stroke of the brush in order to place himself on a Throne he had desired since he could walk.

Now leaving them as quietly as he arrived, he moved himself into the Demon Lands where he had learned movement was beginning to pick up.

________

Mo Yuan had been in meeting after meeting regarding the Demon Tribe and like Tian Ming, the Celestials were also aware of movement.  So far, it had been rather tame.  New infantries were being gathered from neighbouring clans, new forms of beasts were being formed and their overlord Tengfei seemed to be making a comeback of some sort, though what that was, they were still unsure.

For almost a millennia, the man had remained hidden from the world.  Rarely was there anything noteworthy to come out of the Demon Lands, because he had literally forced his entire Tribe into seclusion and out of sight, and that was in large part due to the Demon Wars, which saw much of his Tribe destroyed.

But after that war, Tengei took what was left his people and entered seclusion while leaving the rest of the world to wonder what he was up to.  No document of surrender was ever issued and nor would he allow any communication between themselves and the outsiders, which is how he viewed the Celestials.  And for a while, they had all thought he was planning a surprise attack in retaliation for the deaths of so many of his clansmen.  Only, as time moved on, so did everyone else, until eventually a time came when the world fell back into a kind of tolerated peace.
