The Demon Lands
Infiltrating the Demon Lands was not as easy as it was the Ghost Lands, that in the end Tian Ming entered under an invisibility barrier. It definitely had its advantages, in that he could enter any place at will without being seen and the gathering of information was far easier for him, but the the drawback was his inability to ask direct questions, which meant he had to rely heavily on being at the right place at the right time when information came in.
Their Overlord was a highly suspicious man of any new comers, so his initial attempts to enter were seen as an automatic threat to their safety, only that merely increased his suspicions that Jin Si had found its way into the Demon Lands because there was an enormous surge of activity going on. He did not normally write the fates of the Demons, they were handled by a different weaver, but they were all aware of each others work so they did not encroach on each others fates, and from what he knew, the world was not prepared for what was coming for them.
Only the amount of activity was excessive and for a while he remained eavesdropping on as many conversations as he could especially those around their Overlord Tengfei. But other than his preparations for a return to the world stage, he could see nothing that would suggest his brush and ink were there and he had rummaged through all the Overlords possessions. Though being in the Darklands, his artifacts would be affected by the much lower energy, but they should have felt his presence and returned to him when called.
And he was calling for them continuously, but there wasn't even a ripple of their energy anywhere. But he did stay among the Demons for some time watching as large armies were formed and trained while every manner of magical beast was created. Some were so beautiful and skillfully designed, that he couldn't help but marvel at the mans brilliance. And he was a remarkable man.
In terms of appearance, he was beautiful, but what surprised the rest of the the world was his beauty was not rare among the Demons. If anything, they could almost be considered a Heavenly people, only their love of war saw them set apart because sadly, death was what they knew and thrived on. And going by the intensity and effort he was putting into his armies training, the rest of the world would definitely see it as a threat.
But it was the mans immense intelligence that impressed Tian Ming. A mind like his should be on the world stage, because he had so much to offer it. To be able to create life was not a new thing to this world, because there were many such people who had the ability and means, but his beasts were bred with a conscience. The ability to think and act rationally, which to date, no one had managed to achieve. In the Darklands, beasts were normally only ever contrived to kill without thought or cause, whereas in the higher realms they were merely created as lovely pets to increase ones social status. Only Tengfeis new beasts could be considered an army in their own right, because they took and followed orders like a demon soldier while also living their lives independent from the rest, they needed no special care to raise them, because they were able to intelligently live among his soldiers without the need for handlers.
He learned all manner of things about this world from the Demons who far from being isolated from the world and its intrigues, he was very much aware of what was happening beyond his borders, as he had spies everywhere and gossip always found its way to his ears, because he learned much from it and it was gossip that had Tian Ming leaving the Demon Lands.
According to a spy he had working in the Celestial Heavens, his beaver spirit that was meant for Li Jing of the Ghost Clan was marrying the Celestial Heavens Crown Prince Sang JI. The banners had already been raised and the Celestials had already begun the celebrations. And as this piece of news made its way to his own ears, his heart sank because not only was he hearing about a wedding that should not be happening, but the Celestial Maids had all walked out having refused to work under what they deemed to be poor working conditions.
