Screaming in terror and dismay at having left Liang behind, Si Yin struggled wildly in his arms.  She had no idea how Shifu had managed to get them outside the chamber or what mayhem his energy had left behind, but they were now in the sky on their own side of the fire barrier he had raised and heading straight for her mother who she could see below her.

"Shifu.... please.... it's all my fault but we have to go back..." she cried into his chest where his hand was forcefully keeping her there.

"No.  We cannot help him, he is gone." his normally gentle voice was gruff and painfully edged in sorrow.

"You have done enough Seventeen.  He has gone." he whispered against her hair as sole tear drop fell.

"But Shifu, I can make this right, please believe me." she whispered against him as her mothers screaming soon had her looking down in horror.

Her mother was the most gentlest of women she had ever known.  She rarely angered and even when she did, she always kept her composure, that elegance and stateliness that she was known for was the vision that everyone held in their minds of her.  Only the sight that met her eyes when she saw her mother in full battle mode against both Trolls and Ghost Tribe soldiers had her heart breaking even more.

Her mothers hair was plastered to her face, she was covered in dirt and blood and her eyes were steeled to a cold grey, a sight she could never have imagined in a million years and even more harrowing for her, was the sight of her father also covered in blood and raging rhough a wall of Trolls who were still escaping through Mo Yuans fire barrier.

Lowering her to her mother, it did not immediately register as to why.  Her arms were around Mo Yuans neck and her face pressed tightly into his chest, but no sooner did the Empress spin around at their approach, then it was made very clear as to why Mo Yuan had chosen to give her over to that woman.

"Empress, take your daughter home, we will deal with this mess." he ordered before literally shoving her at her mother.

There was no description in the entire world that Mo Yuan could have brought to mind at the sight of those eyes bursting from their sockets as comprehension hit, but there was no time to dwell on it, nor was he even thinking as he forced her arms from his neck the moment  the Empresses arms came up to grab at her.

The strength in her mothers arms was something she had never felt before, but it was as if a ton of steel had taken hold of her before yanking her out of his embrace and straight up into the air.

"Lock her behind your barriers, and allow no one near her." he roared as he then turned away to assist her father, while she left still screaming for her senior and heartbroken over what she had done and she knew full well whose fault it was.

Struggling against her mother the entire way, her tears were all but exhausted by the time they arrived, and though her mother had said nothing to her during that time, she had plenty to say when they arrived, though the sight of Mi Gu preparing himself to assist with the battle having heard from those who were also preparing to leave, soon had Bai Qian screaming at him to help her.

"You do not leave this den!" The Empress screamed over the top of her while dragging her daughter kicking and screaming all the way to her chamber.

In her mind all she could see was Liangs features slowly changing into one of them.  She understood now, why the Trolls had been closed off from the rest of them and why they were considered exceptionally dangerous.  Somewhere in the back of her mind, the vision of a Troll feasting on a screaming soldier that her father was trying to free, had literally rendered her numb.

Not even the sharp sting from a slap was enough to stop her from trying to escape.  She was the one who had placed them there because of what she had written.  He would never have met the girl had she not written a marriage alliance bewteen him and a Troll, this much she was comprehending but she had to try to save him.
