   Tyler's POV

I groaned as it began to hail. This has been going on for too long. It's been almost 5 years! Wait.. Scratch that... It's almost Brice's birthday... It has been 5 years. What caused this? Why did this happen? What does it mean?

Questions filled my head. Someone knocked on my door.

   "Come in!" I shouted.

   Kyle and Gizzy walked in.

"Oh hey guys!" I said, trying to hide my thoughts, "What's shaking?"

"The whole house! It just started hailing," Gizzy said. I sighed.

"That was a bad pun Gizzy. I felt the house shaking already," I said in a joking tone.

"Heh, I know," he said, grinning.

"Hey! Guys come here!" Jason shouted from the living room. I stood up and walked out with Gizzy and Kyle. Jason was staring out the window in shock at something.

"Jason it's just hail," Kyle said.

"Oh my god," Jason muttered, "It's huge..."

"What?" I asked, looking out at the storm. I gasped in shock. Hail the size of bowling balls were falling from the sky, and they just kept getting bigger. Will they crush us? Is this our end? I thought as hail started pounding on the roof.

   Brice's POV

Everyone jumped out of their hiding places as soon as I turned on the light.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRICE!" they all shouted, making me jump back in surprise, smiling.

"You remembered!" I shouted gleefully. Seto gave me a hug.

"As if we'd forget!" he shouted. I grinned happily.

"Thank you guys!" I yelled, "Thank you so much!"

"Sorry Brice, we didn't get you any presents... But... We got you this!" Seto said, as Adam wheeled out a large yellow and orange cake. I laughed in delight.

"Tonight! We will eat like kings celebrating a birthday!!" I shouted, causing a burst of laughter from the group.

All night we laughed and played all sorts of games. We thought everything was well, until the first gunshot.

  ??? POV

"We'll hide here. Then when they're not expecting it, we attack. Get them when they're having a blast together. Ruin they're fun," I said, pointing to the plan. My gang members smiled at the plan, ready for the attack. I placed a pistol in my pocket and slung a AK-47 across my back.

"We will get our revenge!" I shouted, causing a burst of cheering to erupt from the gang.

   Flare's POV

The gunshot missed by just a couple of inches from my hand on the table. Soon others followed, and we ran.

"Move! We're obviously under attack!" I shouted, getting everyone away. My incredible hearing heard where the bullets were coming from. They were right outside the door, aiming through the windows. Bullets fired everywhere, getting closer to us.

"Outside!" I yelled, holding the back door open. Everyone rushed out quickly. I heard a scream from outside. Was someone shot!? I thought, panicking. I ran out and saw Adam clutching his arm, with blood streaming down to his wrist.

   "Adam!" I shouted.

"Ack.. Don't worry about me.. I'll be fine," he said. More gunshots rang in my ears.

"Go, quickly!" I said, ushering him along. We ran to the others.

   "Is everyone okay?" Seto shouted.

"Not everyone! Adam's been hit!" I said, causing a small gasp from Grayson. Seto rushed over.

"He's lost a lot of blood. I don't know if I can heal him quickly enough," Seto said, his hand glowing purple, "But I will try."

"Please hurry Seto," I said, as Seto sat Adam down on a small bench. The gunshots stopped after a while, and I could hear rummaging through the house. Luckily we were already gone. We'd lost them and we'd all survived. Or so I thought. A gun pressed to the back of my neck and I froze.

"Come out slowly," a voice I'd recognized as my brothers whispered into my ear threateningly. I slowly backed up, so the others didn't notice. I turned around quickly and grabbed the gun, pushing it upwards. He fired but missed. Martin checked around the corner but I gave him a look as a warning for him not to interfere. He understood and backed down.

   "L.. Let go!" Jack shouted.

"N.. No! Not so you c.. can hurt my friends!" I yelled. I strained to keep the gun away from me. Jack fired multiple times, but missed all of them. I growled and kept fighting. He was stronger than me, but I wouldn't let that stand in my way.

Unexpectedly, he yanked the gun back and fired once more. I gasped and my eyes widened. I looked down at where the bullet had impaled me. Blood rushed from my stomach, and I collapsed on my knees.

"W.. Why?" I stammered weakly as I lost more blood.

"Because of what you did to our mother," he said, aiming at my forehead. He slowly pressed the trigger, and fired.
