Chapter 17

   Flare's POV

   "Prepare to die, murderer," I spoke, firing lightning at Dawn. She dodged quickly, but tripped over Martins body. She fell to the ground, almost falling into the trench. Flame used her wind and blew Dawn against the wall, pressing her so much that she couldn't move. Adam flung his arm in a circle and the ground around when Dawn was standing fell away, trapping her.

   "Do the honors?" Adam asked me, his eyes glowing. Flame's eyes were glowing also. That means mine were too. I smiled and nodded. Electricity shot down from the clouds and struck me. I could feel the energy running through me, it was amazing. I'd never felt so much power. The lightning flashed in my hands, and I launched it at Dawn, who was pushed out of the way by Enderlox.

   Enderlox shrieked in pain and collapsed again.

   "How was he awake?" I shouted. My amulet stopped glowing, along with the others. I regained control over my body and fell to the ground. My chest ached, mostly because of the lightning. Adam stayed standing, and he held up Flame before she could fall. I breathed heavily, trying to process what had happened. Did I just shoot lightning at someone? I mean... Lightning? That was a bit freaky.

   I remembered Martin and immediately got up and ran over to him. I turned him into his back and held his head in my hands.

   "No, don't you die on me! Please be alive! Please..." I muttered, tears streaming down my face. Martin wasn't breathing. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Dawn getting back into her feet, and rage flew through me like nothing before. Not when I was abused, not when I had to fight my own mother, not when my mother killed Simon. This was something else. I laid Martin's head on the ground and stood up, my wet hair clinging to my face.

   "You've gone too far Dawn," I stammered in anger.

   "Let me in, give me control!" Enderflare begged. This was the first time I'd heard from her in weeks.

   "Why not?" I asked, giving in. Enderflare's mind wrapped with mine, and we became one being. My skin turned enderman black, my hair turned black with a bright purple streak, my white undershirt turned black, both of my eyes turned to enderdragon eyes, and my fangs grew even larger than before. I grinned evilly.

   "Oh Dawn?" I asked, my voice mixed with Enderflare's. Dawn turned to me and gasped at my appearance. I grinned a murderous smile and lifted my tail, which now had yellow, razor sharp fur on it. Dawn backed away quickly, and I walked towards her. She was breathing hard and was trying to get away.

   I wrapped my tail around her, causing her to shriek in fear. I squeezed her with my tail and lifted her off the ground.

   "You killed him! You murderous bastard!" I said, my smile turning into teeth bared, ready to rip out your soul.

   "How dare you? How DARE you!?" I shouted, squeezing her tighter, making her scream in pain. I threw her against the wall and pinned her. She was sweating and shaking in fear.

   "You just shot the only person who cared straight through his heart! Now I'm going to kill you, and every single one of your minions," I said, lifting my tail.

   "Wait!" I heard someone shout. I turned around abruptly and saw my father standing there, with Sub with him!

   "Dad? Why are you here? Why did you stop me?" I asked. He was a bit shocked at my appearance, but not horrified, as some of the others looked.

   "Don't kill Dawn, it will only make it worse," he said. Sub nodded. I knew he had no face, but it still caught me off guard.

   "Why? What could possibly be worse than now?" I asked, "Sure, I might die in some crazy war, but it won't bother me. I have nothing else to live for anyway."

   "You always have something to live for, you just need to see it," Herobrine said.

   "I don't see anything," I said. Dawn struggled to get away, but I slammed her against the wall again, knocking her into a daze.

   "You can live for me, Sub, your friends, hope? Anything you love you can live for," he said. Did he really say Sub? Did I love Sub before?
