Martin's POV
I had just watched Flare brutally murdered her mother, and I was glad. It wasn't traumatizing to see to happen, it was fun to see Flare's mom suffer. She deserved it. Flare turned to Herobrine and gave him a hug, and I could've swore I saw his eyes glow brighter.
"Thanks dad," she said, letting go of him. My mouth dropped open in shock. Herobrine? Flare's dad? No way! Not possible! I tried to convince myself. Flare walked over to me and knelt down.
"Are you okay?" she asked, checking where her mother had punched me.
"Yeah I'm fine," I said.
"I'm sorry you had to see that," she muttered.
"Don't worry, she deserved it," I said.
"I agree," said Herobrine, appearing next to me. I jumped, then relaxed, knowing he wouldn't hurt me with Flare around. Herobrine gave me a little wink.
"She was a complete moron, she never saw what Flare had inside," Herobrine said. I smiled.
"But you.. You saw it, and I admire that. You got yourself one heck of a girlfriend, so treat her well, and she'll do the same," Herobrine said.
"Stop it dad," Flare gushed. Herobrine chuckled to himself, then pulled something out of his pocket.
"Here, have this, as a gift from me as a friend," said Herobrine, handing me a small, glowing red knife. I took it and it burned me slightly, soon fitting the same temperature as my hand. It sent a strange sensation crawling up my arm.
"It's amazing, I've never seen anything like it," I said. Herobrine smiled.
"It's one of a kind, just like Flare," he said. The knife swirled different colors, like blue and yellow. I smiled.
"If I may..." I was cut off by Herobrine wrapping me in a hug.
"Yes," he said. I was speechless. I thought he was a heartless murderer in minecraft! He must not be heartless after all, I thought. He has a daughter... And he couldn't help her.
"Take care of Flare for me," he said, letting go. I nodded. Herobrine glowed with a black aura and he disappeared. My eyes were wide open in shock.
"Well how did that feel?" Flare asked.
"Like getting a hug from the told to be heartless killer of minecraft," I said, putting the knife in my pocket.
"He's not heartless, he's just depressed," Flare said. I stood up and helped Flare up as well.
"What are we going to do with Simon?" I asked, sadness creeping into my voice.
"We take them with us, maybe Herobrine can do something," she said, picking Simon's limp body up in her arms. I nodded and we went to go find the others.
Adam's POV
I set Baki down on the couch of an abandoned house we found. It was lucky. It hadn't been destroyed by the hail. Poor Simon, i thought miserably, remembering Simon's murder.
"Hey, Adam you alright?" Ty asked.
"I don't know Ty," I sighed, "I just watched a good friend of mine be murdered by a friend's mother."
"I understand, if you need any comfort, I'll be here. Remember that, okay?" he asked.
I nodded. A loud knocking at the front door startled me and I jumped.
