Flare's POV
I felt someone shaking me. I couldn't move though. Then I heard voices.
"Flare! Please wake up, I know you're still there," I heard someone say. Martin? I'm still alive? I asked myself. I tried to hug Martin, but I couldn't move. I felt him hug me instead, burying his face into my shoulder.
"I miss you. I want you back," he said between sobs. I felt so bad for him. He was probably feeling worse than I was. I tried my hardest, but couldn't move at all. I was stuck, inside of myself.
Martin's POV
It's been days on the streets now. I kept Flare close, knowing that I would save her somehow. I didn't know how... I just knew that I would. Anything for her. I would give up my own life to save her.
"Please Flare. I need you," I muttered, placing my forehead on hers, "Don't leave."
She moaned in her sleep. A spark of hope lit up in my soul. She'll live! I swear I'll do anything! Just let her live! I shouted in my head. Tears streamed down my face, in anger, sadness, and hope. I kissed her lightly, never forgetting her.
Baki's POV
The government kicked us out of the abandoned house and we'd been living on the streets for about a week. Martin was just terrible. He was pale now, and he was a complete mess. He really misses Flare, doesn't he? I thought as I heard Martin's sobs from the back of the alleyway. Flame and Ty sat next to me, cuddling. It made me feel worse for Martin, that Ty and Flame were always there to cuddle in front of him, just as him and Flare had done.
"Hey. Do you think Martin will be alright?" Flame asked.
"I hope. He's a complete wreck. I hope he'll keep his sanity in the next couple of days," I said.
"I hope all of us keep our sanity. With no place to stay the storm might take our lives anyway," Ty said. I sighed and nodded.
"It's true isn't it? We're not going to survive this storm are we?" I asked.
"Hey, don't think like that!" Flame scolded, "We'll make it, we have to."
Flare's POV
I couldn't stand to hear Martin cry any longer. It hurt... I tried my hardest, and felt a slight movement. I thought popped into my head. If I can just....
Enderlox's POV
I heard Martin scream from something, and ran down the alley with Baki and Flame next to me to see what was wrong. Martin had an enormous smile of pure joy on his face, and Flare was wide awake in his arms.
"Hey! Flare's awake!" Baki shouted happily. I knelt down by Martin, who had tears of joy falling down his face.
"It's great, she just suddenly came around?" I asked, fake happily. I never wanted Flare alive. I was kind of relieved when I found out she had passed.
"I'm fine... Strangely enough, I feel perfectly normal!" Flare chirped, hugging Martin tightly. At least it can't get any worse, I thought to myself. I thought too soon.
