Smell of hot food, the different colors, and sound of happy children brought Rue natural ivory color back to her cheeks. She sat silently though feeling the tension between her husband and only family. Her hands twisting her wedding band out of being tired and the negative energy; she had enough of that feeling. It disappeared when the hand of her husband of nearly thirteen years rubbed the top of hers. A small smile crossed her now glossy pale pink lips; her eyes gleamed with joy when he blew air at her neck, making her laugh. Black eyes glares aimlessly at the happy couple with hatred and disgust at the love they shared. Yellow tinted eyes met them and flashed with hurt at the anger they saw. All the drama between the three when their old friend stood before them and the children, he said a few words that didn't really phase Rue other then the dementors being on the grounds due to Black. She was taken back when she heard her name along with Remus's being called.

"Now I would love to introduce, our new professor's wife of soon to be thirteen years. She is to be treated with the utmost respect and along with their child that is due in two months. Congratulations on the baby girl."

The great hall filled with claps and whistles. Rue's cheeks flushed with embarrassment of being called out like that; she never been a public figure. Remus smiled and nodded in acknowledgement.

The feast started. The Lupin couple enjoyed the food and conversation, but they were cut short by Albus approaching them with a small package and his timeless smile. Remus turned his attention to the pink wrapped box he held as he set it before the mother to be; he bent down and whispered in confidence.

" I know about the little girl having your gene. I received the an owl from the Mungos. I don't want you to fear, Remus. She will be a perfect angel just her mother. Now, in good faith and your relationship surviving the times it has. I want to gift not only for the child but for your light that has given us the light of hope that love is all one needs to get through the dark. "

Rue was nudged to open it; she gently removed the soft pink wrapping which turned to be silk and Lupin in good embroidered at the base, revealing it was a blanket. She opened the box. Her green eyes saw a silver werewolf with a smaller wolf crib sheet set with a small matching bag. Rue was in shock. It was beautiful.

"It's beautiful, Albus. You didn't have to." She gasped at the sheer simplicity of the gift but it was just perfect.

He gently patted her back and kissed the top of her head as a grandfather would.

"Only the best for you; Remus, you need anything let me know." With that he went back to his place to dismiss the students to their dorms.

The expecting couple slowly made their way to their private corridors. Remus opened the door to reveal beautiful red walls with gold curtains with black and silver details etched into them; Rue made her way to the room with the pink around the handle. Her eyes filled with tears of joy when she saw the ornate baby room, and Remus brought in the gift, setting the statue on the self beside the bed where the instructions under it said. It began to glow a dark pink. He chuckled at the magical night light and his overjoyed wife as he put the sheets in the black and pink crib. She hugged his side. Remus lead the way to the bedroom but not before shutting the door to their daughters room. As soon as Rue was changed and comfortable, her head hit the pillow and was sound asleep. Remus started to crawl in beside her, but a knocking made him growl in frustration. He answered the door to see Severus. The cold man handed the tired father a small box and walked back into the darkness. Remus shut the door and opened the box to see two matching black and pink bracelets. The smaller read Rosalyn and the larger read Rue; both had werwolf beads on them. Remus shook his head at the gift. He knew Severus didn't care too much for them, but he was trying to make it right for Rosalyn.
