Remus wrapped his cloak tighter around his shoulders as the wind picked up, sending snow in a spiral. He watched his wife closely as she played with Rosalyn; her bum on the ground and the baby in her lap. She was intrigued by the new found substances that was falling through her fingers. Without their knowledge, the eldest Lupin pulled out a camera and snapped pictures of his two lovely ladies. Rue turned over her shoulder; her hair had fallen gracefully in a frame around her face with a large smile. She pointed toward Remus, catching Rosalyn's attention. He snapped one more picture before the charm dissipated. His eyes twinkled with pure happiness when as he watched them play around in the white covering. Rue rolled a small ball out of it and tossed it at Remus, catching him off guard; her laughter echoed in his ears.
"You think you're funny don't you, love. " He chuckled as he approached the two.
"Actually I know I am funny because if I wasn't you wouldn't be laughing. " She countered, kissing his cheek when he bent to her level.
Rosalyn recognized his face and cackled, and Remus saw her skin was getting slightly cold.
"Time to get her inside. She is getting cold as are you."
Rue handed the baby over to the standing man; she was helped onto her feet. Remus gave her body a quick but thorough glance. Her body was highlighted perfectly by her red skirt which hugged her still rounded him and wide hips; up to her green fitting blouse with the white corset synch that showed her still small waist and now very prominent chest. Her hair fell and laid perfectly just below her shoulders; Remus kissed her romantically. Their moment was ruined when they both felt eyes on them from a far distance. Rue turned toward the outdoor hall to see her brother watching them; she didn't let it bother her. Instead, the mother wrapped her arm around Remus and let him guide her toward their lunch destination.
Severus was in a slight hurry to get to his dungeon and away from the festivities between students and teachers, but something out of his peripheral he saw Rue and Remus in the snow with his niece. A feeling a what was of could be mistaken as guilt built in his stomach when he saw his happy she truly was. It irked him that she wasn't bothered by his condition or that she was so willing to have children, knowing that he could pass his gene to them. Her reason of love made him want to hurl. The Potion's master felt love once but only once. He scowled at their public affection that was suppose be kept private between lovers. Severus met his sister's gaze and instantly the feeling of no anger bothered him; she wrapped her arm around her husband's, allowing him to guide their way without any question. She trusted him more then her own brother and always has. He never understood why because of all the secrets she is forced to keep for him. In the man's black eyes, Remus Lupin wasn't even a man due to not being able to keep a job and provide for his family; Rue did. Severus brushed it off and continued his previous train of thought once they were out of sight.
The Lupin family enjoyed a nice hot lunch in the privacy of their private corridors. Rosalyn fell asleep around one, leaving the content couple to relax under a blanket by a fire to enjoy each other's company. Remus wrapped his arms around her waist and laid his chin on her shoulder as she pressed her back further into his chest. Rue was never one to have to talk all the time to know what her husband was thinking. She looked into the fire and played with his wedding band.
"Don't think so much. It will all be just fine" her voice gentle yet quite firm.
"It hard not to worry, Cirque. I now have a daughter and a wife who is still adamant on joining me when I turn. You are my heart and soul; I don't want to hurt you in any way. I couldn't live with myself. "
Rue lightly laughed, lifting his hand and kissed it.
"You forget that even in your other form; you recognize my scent and without your potion. I don't fear you in anyway. So, stop the worrying and enjoy our Christmas, Remus. "
The man smiled into her hair and leaned the both of them back. This moment reminded him of the first Christmas after they were married. She still hadn't aged on day since 1979; her love just as strong from when they started dating.
"Hey, do you remember when Sirius accidentally left his girlfriend in your dorm room?"
Remus started to laugh really hard at the memory of the half naked girl hiding under his own sheets.
"How could I? She was in my bed, and he didn't leave her. She was suppose to tutor me. "
"Ha! Tutor you; how in the best way to please a skank?" Rue returned the joke.
"It was my eighteenth Christmas present from Black to ensure you would always be please in bed. "
Rue looked over her shoulder; a faint red glow across her cheeks.
"Trust me, Remus Lupin. You do not need that. " Her voice cool with a hint of desire.
"Really now?" his voice matched her's, " Whose to say you aren't just boosting my ego for your own benefit?"
Rue snapped her fingers and pouted; Remus raised an eyebrow at her motion as he wait for a response.
"You caught me, but not for my benefit only for yours."
"Ah..boosting your ego..well, let me help with that. "
Rue was expecting to be under his body weight but instead was kept in the same position to see him pointing at the baby's door.
"It took us nearly three months, and let me make this clear it was defiantly worth every lost hour of sleep." His breath rolled across her neck, and she turned a bright red as she remembered every night they tried.
"Do you want another?"
"I don't think it would hurt, but if you don't I am quite pleased with our one."
"I want a boy as we'll. " Rue added, "But I don't think I could stand another pregnancy. "
Remus held her tight; his comfort running through her body.
" Like I said I am please with the one. "
She smiled, placing a hand on his cheek and kissed his lips tenderly. They remained there until the baby awoke, watching the fire.
