Two full moons have come and gone, leaving all the leaves on the ground and snow to cover up the flowers. Remus was recouping from his last transformation when he was approached by young Harry Potter in the his classroom. Rue was silently sitting on the step talking to the three week shy of two month old; she smiled up at the thirteen year old. He bent down and held his hands out as if he wanted to hold her. The mother handed the happy baby to her best friend's son; Rosalyn stared at Harry with confusion but smiled when she realized he was no harm.

"Don't go stealing her heart now, Harry, she can't date till thirty." a voice rang above the two.

Rue laughed, shaking her head at her husband's protective nature. He was still weak and using his cane due to a accident with a ditch. Harry didn't know if he was in trouble or not; Rue remembered that look on Remus's face when James was picking on him for dating her.

"Hey, if I can recall correctly you were told that you were not allowed to date until thirty because you belonged to a certain group of boys. What was it they said.." Rue placed her finger on her lips, pushing them out and making Remus want to taste them, "Oh, yea mates before muff; Without you they didn't have a brain"

Remus turned a light pink; he remembered that day all to we'll. James had picked on him all day about how he was no longer stuck in a book but up something with more uses. Harry handed the baby back, waiting for his professor to reach the bottom of the stair where he kissed his wife and followed Harry. Rue simply smiled at the two males as they retreated out of the room.

Little more then half the day passed when Rue heard the clicking of the cane against the hard floor, she saw him looking tired and still very pale. Luckily the baby was asleep, she helped him up the stairs and into his chair.

"You pushed yourself to far today, babe."

"Little, but a Harry needed to talk to me. Not to make you jealous. He wants me to help him defend himself against the dementors."

"I think that is great, Moony. He needs to learn, but I don't want you to hurt yourself in the process. We have Severus on our back about Black; your daughter and I need you here alive. Harry is our best friend's son, but you have to see he is like James in many ways which means he is smart and is nosey. "

Remus saw where she was going with it, nodding with agreement. He leaned back and ran his hand through his hair. Rue peeked into the swinging baby bed to see Rosalyn still sleeping.

"I know, love. I promise it just simple lessons if I feel like I can't you can teach." he mumbled, closing his eyes.

"Let's go lay down; I will grade your papers while you and Rosalyn take a nap." Rue stated, helping him to the bedroom with her child tucked under her other arm.

Remus kissed the top of her head when she opened the door to reveal their tastefully decorated red and good bedroom. He shedded off his shirts till all he wore was he bare chest. Once he was comfortable and tucked in, he placed his sleeping daughter in the crook of his arm when he rolled on his side. Rue exited silently, keeping her end of the deal when she heard him snoring.

The office was quiet and very odd without the sound of his laughter or random jokes as she graded the papers when a door clicking caught her attention. Her eyes turned to see her brother. She frowned but went back to the papers before her.

"He is asleep so you can leave and wait till dinner or better after to speak to him. " Her voice cold.

"I brought his potions."

Rue nodded to the table on the far end of the room; she went flipping through the papers when she caught on to a trend. Her eyes closed when she realized all of them were about werewolves and animgus.

"You taught the students about werewolves. Really? Why not just tell the world, Severus?"

"They have a right to know what monster lurk around them. "

Rue hated that word; monsters.

"Monster...the only monster I see is you. You're worse the the damn ministry; it people like you that make people like Remus fear the world. Always judging and treating them as unequal. I nor Remus will grade these papers."

"Not everyone is like you who go for degenerates; normal people to for others who don't have to hide behind a potion or moonlight." Severus cocked, putting his hands on the edge of the desk.

"Ha! I find you very undesirable company. So thank you for the potions, but like I told you before I don't want you around me. " She hissed, coping his motion which made the man before her angry.

Her older brother stood to his full height.

"Keep defending that man, Rue. It will turn on you; I always pegged you for one of them but never for a woman who would spread her legs for him. "

"What happens between my husband and I is between us. So, how you worry about trying to get a woman to spread her legs without paying her..." Before she could finish the sentence, she felt hard contact against her cheek.

Rue gasp as he withdrew his hand. Severus showed no signs of remorse just pure hatred.

"I will never be like you and need to frolic like an animal to for fill my desires. "

The office door slammed. For the first time in her going on thirty years, she was slapped like a common whore. Rue sat back down, pulling out a mirror to see a bruise forming on her lower cheek; he had done out his on death wish above all others in Remus's book.
