Eight months have come and gone by far too quickly. Remus was in his office, taking a few minutes to himself; he was staring at all the pictures he had gathered over the years. The man stopped at an old photo of everybody after his wedding. Rue and Lily were arm in arm, smiling and clearly enjoying life. The four men standing behind them still looking as they did in school except Sirius actually had his pants on properly. He flipped the picture over and saw all his friends signature, and the small note that Lily had wrote ( to my dearest friends, always take time to say I love you. Never grow to old to call her name just to hear her voice, and further most always let your love be a light in dark times.)
A smile crossed his lips as he kept looking till he reached their first wedding photo. Rue looked like an angel in her simple white dress and silver flowers; he couldn't afford a big wedding, but Remus always remembered when she told him. It not the size of the wedding it the people who make it worth celebrating. The more he looked at old photos; the more he felt happiness filled his soul. Remus Lupin could never have asked for anything more precious.
Upon entering the Great Hall, his six foot two height was nearly equalized by somebody he never expected to ever meet up with again. The defense professor felt dread as he was face to face with Lucius Malfoy, and he wore his classic superior smug expression.
"Lupin, I didn't believe my son when he told me, but I see he wasn't lying. "
Remus crossed his arms. He had just took notice nobody was yet in the area, but approaching footsteps made his stomach drop when they belonged to Rue.
"I can't believe it. " Lucius snided, as he looked her ivory bodice over laying the black collared shirt with matching skirt, " Rue Snape, my have you have grown. " Lust was seeping out of his lips like breath.
The Malfoy took notice of the five month infant to his estimate in her arms.
"I am not a Snape, Malfoy. I have been married for thirteen years. " She snapped, standing behind her husband.
"Married?" Lucius's blue eyes met Remus'S darker shade ones, " ahh, I see. This must be the child that was rumored through the Ministry. Little girl if I remember correctly.... yes, Rosalyn Meadow. My secretary filed her registration."
"That just have been an inconvenience for you, Malfoy, but it is no concern to you."
Remus hasn't said a word; he remained at the buffer between them, "why are you here?"
"Got word of a leak in the school that allowed Black onto the grounds."
Rue and Remus looked at each other. Severus had now entered the room to see the scene before him; he casually greeted the three. Lucius followed the eldest Snape to leave the Lupin couple to their own thoughts and questions. Rosalyn was just as quiet as her parents just watching the two stare in confusion.
