It's the third week of October and I'm excited for Halloween.

Katy, Allison and I go shopping literally everyday for decorations because we're throwing the ultimate Halloween party.

Kaylee started dating this guy named Cole from the basketball team and she's been spending a lot of time with him.

It's pretty cute actually and funny because no ship name works for them since both of their names start with the same sound.

A couple nights ago, my mom invited Derek over for dinner and it was really fun. Derek is everything my mom described him to be. The only thing that matters to me though is that he makes my mom happy.

If she's happy, I'm happy.

As for Matthew, we haven't talked since well, the night I hooked up with George.

I don't care because to be honest, Bobby's all over him.

I can't really explain what our "status" is because we don't talk.

I watch his vines from time to time and he seems so happy. He belongs on the stage. I knew I was making the right decision sending him.

Today, I'm going to chill with Derek and mama bear.

I ship them so hard, it's hilarious.

We're going out to dinner and then this little county fair.

Dinner goes by really fast so we head on out to the fair.

I leave the two lovebirds alone and wander off with my slushie and huge teddy bear that Derek won for me.

I look at the Ferris Wheel and start to remember the summer of 8th grade when I went to some carnival with

Matthew and we got on the Ferris Wheel.

He would not stop rocking it. Oh my god. It scared the shit out of me.

Flashback :

"Matt stop! You're going to kill us." I scream.

Matt doesn't stop and he's dying of laughter at this point.

"Matthew!" I yell.

He doesn't listen and starts laughing so even harder at my fear.

"I. Can't. Breathe." He struggles to say.

"Maybe if you stop laughing a maniac, you'll get a few breaths in" I laugh.

He rocks the cart back forth faster.

"Okay, Okay! I'll do anything you want!" I yell.

He stops moving.

"Anything?" He smirks.

All of a sudden, I bump into someone and the person's and my slushie go all over my teddy bear.

"Well, Shit" I say and look up.

"I'm so sorry! Here let me buy you a new slushie and win you a teddy bear. I insist." He pleads.

"It's okay but you're getting me a new teddy bear." I laugh.

"Without a doubt." He smiles.

"C'mon." He grabs my hand and walks towards the ring toss booth.

On his first try, he makes it.

And again.

And again.

And again.

"I'm a pro at this" He looks over at me and winks.

"Is that a challenge?" I scoff.

"No of course not. You're no competition." He laughs.

Oh hell no.

I bump my hips on his and move him over.

I grab all the rings and throw them one by one, smiling at the beautiful stranger.

When I run out of rings, I look over at the bottles. I made them all.

I smirk and remember Matthew and I's challenges.

"So, I guess there was competition" I wink at the boy.

"I'm Jacob. I didn't catch your name." He smiles.

"Kathy - uh Katherine." I smile back.

"Well Katherine, let's head over to the roller coasters , shall we?" Jacob smirks.

"We shall!" I yell causing us both to laugh.

We rode roller coasters- many, may I add-, got cotton candy, ate EVERYTHING, and much more.

"I think it's time for the Ferris Wheel" Jacob says.

Suddenly music starts blasting and Wiggle comes on.

Oh hell yes.

I run over to the dancers and dance along.

YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THAT BIG FAT BUTT.

WIGGLE WIGGLE WIGGLE.

We all start grinding and Jacob looks at me with awe.

I laugh and finish off the song and then sit back down with Jacob.

"You were saying something about the Ferris Wheel?" I say casually.

"Damn, you can dance." He laughs.

"I used to be a cheerleader but switched over to dancing but off to the Ferris Wheel" I laugh.

I grab Jake's hand and pull him onto one of the carts. We sit across from each other.

The Ferris Wheel starts and goes up.

It stops and I tell Jacob to tell me something about him no one else knows.

"We're not that good of friends yet" He laughs.

"Jakeeeeeee" I whine.

"Kathyyyyyy" He mocks.

"Fine. I'll just have to find out another way" I wink.

"Good luck" Jacob smiles.

"Lemme get them digits" I say.

"Pass your phone." He laughs.

We add each other's numbers and I look out to see the view.

Wow, Virginia's beautiful.

Matt doesn't know what he's missing.
