Chapter twenty-one

"And what would that be?" I asked, grumpy.
I truly hated being woken up this early. Although my curtains were closed, I could tell it was veery early.
I eyes were slowly closing again and I was longing for sleep.
"Get up. I'm taking you outside."
"...and why so early?"
"Because if we leave early enough, the managers and the others won't realise we're gone until it's too late. They won't be able to find us in the city."
"You really never listen to your company."
"Unfortunately, no."
Jin's idea sounded quite appealing. That's why I got out of bed and started rummaging in my wardrobe. A question popped into my mind and I turned towards the full dressed and ready Seokjin.
"How can you guarantee that we won't get into trouble?"
"One, I take the blame, two, I don't get a punishment, I'm too valuable." He said with a smile.
But I knew that I would get in trouble with my manager and this made me rethink my decision. Jin, probably seing my face, quickly said:
"The others will cover up for us."
"Ok, thanks."

Once I was dressed, we wuietly went downstairs, careful not to wake up the others. When we were outside, I finally let out a breath and spoke normally again:
"So how are you planning to get out of here? We don't have a car."
"Subway, walking,..."
"Basically moving around like any other normal person. I like it!"
I was going to spend a "normal" day with Jin!
As soon as we passed the gate, we took the direction of the subway. Jin carefully wore his mask and hood, not wanting to be recognised even though it was around 7 am.

We were seated in the subway.
"So what are we doing?"
"Meeting people for lunch for lunch."
"Who?"
"That's a secret. And otherwise you can choose what to do."
"Alright... I need some new shoes. For dancing."
"Ok. I'll buy a pair too."
I rolled my eyes at him. This guy was so rich he could buy shoes just to do something while shopping with me. I, on the other hand, really really needed new shoes and I wasn't even sure I had enough money. I stopped working and I hadn't gotten my salary from the company yet. I maybe only had around 10000 won left. Basically, I didn't if I could afford what I wanted to buy.
By the time I had finished my thinking arrived at our stop. Great. We were now in Gangnam, in the center of Seoul, where all of the expensive shops are... Jin dragged me out of the station, carefully covering his face. We bought coffee in a nearby shop and walked while sipping it. He then led me into a mall, which looked veeery expensive and I really started to worry. Should I tell him? I finnaly didn't.
In the store a pair of sneakers caught my eye. Following my gaze Seokjin said:
"Try them."
As if hearing him, someone immediately came asking for my shoesize and bringing them to me.
They looked amazing and were really comfortable. I could not only dance with them but they were so fashionable they could become my everyday shoes. But then I looked at the pricetag and my face fell. Literally.
"Don't worry about it." Jin said with a smile. "If you really like them, take them."
"I can't." I sighed.
"I said don't worry."
My wallet and bank account would  suffer horribly but the shoes were perfect.

Soon enough, after finding a pair of sneakers for Jin, we went to pay for our items. When I wanted to pull out my credit card Jin stopped me.
"I've already done it."
I was speechless. So this was what he meant. He really was too generous. I couldn't help myself, I hugged him.
"Thank you Seokjin-oppa!"
