Jisung, Changbin, Chan and I were incredibly productive to say the least. Most of the songs were basically ready to record!
These guys were amazing composers. Having so many different people working on my album - RM, Jihoon, 3RACHA, all the producers - made it something really beautiful and diverse. I also got to know them better. They were closer in age to me than my dormmates so I wasn't as imtimidated. But only a little bit less. Like with all the others I had met, at some point I became more comfortable. All of them were so humble and seemed interested to know more about my life. I also learned things I never knew about them. It was about 6 in the afternoon when JYP suddenly and unexpectedly entered the studio we were in. I was so surprised that I almost forgot to greet him properly. Chan said hello to him in a quite casual way that surprised me. Jisung and Chanbin on the other hand were very respectful and had bowed like me. Maybe Chan had a closer relationship with him?
"Seeing the work that has been done today, I see I made the right choice chosing you." The CEO said. He seemed pleased but his face didn't show it. I was flustered and didn't know what to answer to that. I just bowed again.
"We'll see if it stays that way."
He then listened to the songs and read the lyrics.
"I will have all the producers review it. This is a debut we can't mess up." He said and then, he left.
I finally breathed normally.
"Is this how it usually happens."
"No, it's never as...tense." Chan smiled. "But don't worry, just because he didn't smile, doesn't mean he thinks you're bad. On the contrary, he even complimented you."
"Let's get back to work!" Han said.
"I thought we were done..." Changbin sighed.
"Really?" Jisung smiled. "I can't wait to get home."
We saved and closed all of our work and left.
"We never leave this early, usually we stay until like... midnight or later." Changbin informed me.
My mouth formed an O, they had really long days and I felt really luck that my schedule wasn't as full. Yet. We talked while walking towards the exit. It's when we wre outside that I realised I had no way of getting home on my own. The three of the them had already left. I called my manager.
"I finished and I don't know how to get home..." I said on the phone.
"Don't worry, I'm on my way. JYP told me that you were done."
"Oh..." I sighed in relief.
A few minutes later, I was in the car.
"The choregrapher is going to help you for the choreo tomorrow. For the title song, we need to start preparing the MV. Are you OK with having a unique concept?"
"What is it?" I asked, worried.
"Natural... Kind of. We basically chose to do neither especially cute or girl crush. It has a boy group vibe, actually no, not really. I don't know how to explain it, you'll see." She said.
Hearing that, I was getting curious. I had never been a great fan of girl group concepts, which were way too predictable, although I did like the music.
"Also, we will be debuting a new girl group some time next year, and we wondered if you wanted to join them. You don't have to tell us now and you'll still have your solo debut soon."
Honestly, I didn't know what I wanted.
"I really don't know... we'll see I guess."
I was mentally tired after working so long on music, even though I did only a quarter of the work. Haneul dropped me off in front of the building, saying she still had some things to do. As I entered I heard music and guessed one of the groups was training, but the sound was muffled so I didn't know which one. Right now I really really wanted to sleep. As soon as I arrived in one of the lounge room, I collapsed on the sofa. When I woke up, I notice I wasn't alone. Yoongi was also fast asleep next to me. Hesring absolutely no sound, I wandered around the dorm looking for people. I found RM working in his studio and Jin, Hoseok, Jungkook and Jimin were in their rooms so I didn't want to disturb them. I found no members of Seventeen or GOT7. I went back tp my original spot and took out my phone to talk to my parents. After about half an hour, Suga woke up.
"Where are all the others?" I asked once he was awake.
"In their rooms I suppose."
"No I mean Seventeen and GOT7."
"Oh... they at the dance studio, and at JYP, I think."
That's why there was no one.
"I wondered if you could "proof read" my songs? Please?" I said.
"Sure."
It took him around 10 minutes tp be fully awake. Since I had saved all of our work on my phone I showed with that.
After listening to all of the tracks, I was getting anxious. Even if I had faith in Han, Changbin and Chan's skills I wasn't too confident about my own.
"It's really good." He said, after some thinking. "But there are a few things that I would change."
"Thank you, what is it?"
"Here for example..."
We continued to discuss it until Jeonghan stormed into the room and fell in the couch next to us. All the others Seventeen memebers followed one by one. Joshua, Seokmin, Chan and Vernon directly headed to their rooms. Seungcheol head popped up next to my face.
"What are you doing?" He smiled.
"Yoongi-oppa is helping me to improve my songs."
"Can I listen to them too?"
"Not really thay aren't finishㅡ"
"Yes! And give her your opinion on them, she doesn't think they're good enough." Suga interrupted.
I dreaded his reaction as listened to them one by one. Jeonghan to had woken up from his zombie state and was listening. To everyone who likes girl groups!
I do respect them and listen to their music because they work as hard as any other idol and they are very talented I just wish that they could have more than two concepts and have more freedom, although i have to say its getting way better now. Sorry if i offended anyone.
Even if no one cares I wanted to explain myself. Thank you.<3 moonlark
