Jinyoung guided me through the building and I followed him blindly. I had no idea where we were headed and decided to trust him. Soon enough we were in the same recording studio as I was yesterday and the producer was waiting for us.
"Goodmorning, Y/N. Are you ready to start right away?" He asked.
"Yes."
"Sorry I have to go somewhere." Jinyoung told me. "But I'll be back soon, I don't want to miss seeing you sing." He winked.
As soon as we left, we started recording. The beginning of the first song took a few tries but we became more efficient as time went by. After we were done with two songs, Jinyoung wasn't back and we decided to do a break. I went to get a bottle of water. On my way, I passed the dance studios and I deciced to peek inside. Jeongyeon, Jihyo and Nayeon we talking while stretching themselves. They waved to me when they saw me.
"Y/N!" Jeongyeon got up and ran to me.
"What are you doing here?" The others joined us.
"Recording. And on my way to get some water. It was good to see you Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Jihyo- sunbae!"
"Come see us when you're done!"
"I'll try..."
They hugged me. My break was getting kind of long so I hurried to get the water and went back. This time, I ran into Felix, Seugmin and Hyunjin.
"Oh! Hi, Felix." I said. "Hello, Hyunjin, Seugmin-sunbaenim." And I bowed slightly. I was already quite comfortable with Felix - and Chan, Han and Changbin - but the others I hadn't talked to yet, I felt really impressed and intimidated by their presence. Plus, the three of them together looked reaaaally handsome.
"Hey! What are you doing?"
"I here to record my album."
"Oh," Felix remembered. "This is Y/N the new "trainee" in our company."
"The one who's incredibly talented and who lives with all of our seniors?" Seungmin inquired while smiling at me.
"Yeah, that one."
"Not sure about the first part..." I said. "But I really admire Stray Kids, and you're one of my favorite groups!"
"Thank you! I'm sure you're going to be a great artist too." Seungmin replied.
I noticed Hyunjin was being awfully silent and standing behind Seungmin, looking at the ground.
"Is something wrong, Hyun--"
"There you are Y/N! We were starting to wonder where your were." Jinyoung appeared behind us.
The others greeted him.
"Oh, sorry Jinyoung-oppa, I kind of forgot... it was nice seeing you Felix, and I was glad to be able to meet you Hyunjin, Seungmin-sunbaenim!"
Jinyoung and I went back to the studio together.
"Where were you?"
"Seeing JYP for our comeback. I had to give him a draft of our songs. And what were you doing?"
"I coincidentally met them in the corridor."
"Oh... and Y/N, I'm pretty sure Hyunjin likes you." He smiled knowingly.
"No way!" I said.
"Whatever."
We had arrived at the recording studio with a slightly annoyed producer so I didn't have time to reflect on his words... but it couldn't be...right?
Jinyoung was listening to the recordings we did while he wasn't there and I went back into the recording booth. It didn't take too much time to record the last song and it was early afternoon when we were done with everything. I was quite satisfied with the result. As soon as the music would be ready I wlild be able to film the MV, which meant that my debut was quite near. I had seven teacks eady for my album, including the one with Joshua and Vernon.
We finished everything and at about 1pm, the producer let us go.
"Come!" Jinyoung said."I'll treat you to lunch."
"Oooh!" I said excited. "Can we go eat in front of the river."
"...good idea. Let's do that."
Jinyoung and I bought some fried chicken, ramen and drinks and went to eat at Han river. It was still cold outside but the weather was really nice and the place was quite calm. Jinyoung complimented me on my singing.
"...I was really impressed by your singing, this album is going to be amazing."
"Thank you... oh! I just remembered there was something I wanted to do. Can we stop by at a store before Haneul-unnie picks us up?"
"Sure."
By that time we were about finished with our lunch - which was delicious - and we cleaned up and throwed our used containers in the trash. We got up and went to the store I had to go to. When we arrived there, I told Jinyoung to wait outside.
"It will take two minutes, I'll be back in no time. You don't have to come with me."
I came out with five copies of Map of the soul: Persona, three copies of Clé 1: Miroh, Spinning Top: Between Security and Insecurity and You Made My Dawn, and one copy of Astro's All Night and Treasure Ep.3: One to All. The first ones, I wanted to get signed so that I could send them to my friends back home. The two last ones were to add to my personal collection. Of course, I had bought one copy of each album for me too. I was really hoping to get the boys to sign them.
"What's all this?" Jinyoung asked as he saw the huge bag the albums were all in.
"Nothing..." I was a bit embarassed so I decided not to tell him.
"..."
"I think we have to start heading back to the building, otherwise Haneul will be waiting."
We went back to the building and,as expected, my manager's car was already there waiting for us.
"How did it go?" She asked as we climbed in.
"Well... I think, I guess you'll have to see for yourself when you get the final album... but the producer said it was good."
"Good then. As soon as they're edited we can film the MV, we've already started working on it."
"I'm really excited to see it." Jinyoung joined in.
When we arrived, Haneul dropped us off saying she had something else to do.
"Work on the choreo, you never know when the track will be ready."
And that was exactly what I planned to do if the studio was free - but I doubt it will be. When we went inside the building I heard music from the studio. I decided I would sleep instead and maybe practice in my room.
