Chapter thirty-eight

"I'm not leaving, don't worry. We were just talking about the new group Bighit was going to debut. I'm going to be a member."
"Oh so that was the thing that's been going on at the company." Yoongi said.
"Okay, let me put this straight. You're still going solo, but then you'll also be debuting a second time in a new group... but you'll still live with us in this dorm until the end of the year, like planned." Dokyeom summarized.
"Exactly, except that things might change, I'm just waiting for more information... but I'm really excited!" I said.
My phone buzzed.

Tomorrow 9 am we have the album photoshoot. Don't forget.

It was my manager. When I looked up from my phone all the members were gathering around JB who was making delivery orders for dinner. It was a big chaotic mess, 27 people all wanting different meals...
"Y/N, what do you want?" Jeonghan asked.
"Something, anything. Just without seafood please." I answered.  Because just then, I received another message:
The day after tomorrow, we start a three day MV filming.
Seeing all this new information I decided to call her. I dialed her number and waited.
"Yes?" She answered.
"Hello unnie. I wanted to know why the dates changed. It seems really rushed."
"The company did it. They want to speed your debut, make it earlier than planned for some commercial and marketing reasons that they didn't bother explain to me."
"Oh okay. Weird."
"Don't worry about it and just be ready tomorrow for when I pick you up. And be lucky that we don't have to take the plane to go to your MV filming site."
"Oh yes! Where is it by the way?" I inquired.
"It's all indoors, somewhere a bit outside Incheon." She answered. "I still need to plan some things for tomorrow, make sure you're well rested."
"Yes, see you tomorrow." And she hung up.
The members were dispersed around the dorm again, just waiting for the food to arrive.
I went to sit on the sofa with RM and Jungkook, they were talking about the award shows they had been to this year. I decided to join in.
"I've always wanted to go to MAMA." I said enthusiastically. "Or the GDAs, or any award show really. It must be amazing to meet all of your seniors."
"Are we not good enough for you?" Jungkook asked jokingly.
"That's not what I meant... I just want to experience the general atmosphere, you know what I'm talking about."
"It's not that fun." RM commented. "You do a lot of waiting. But I have to agree that it's nice to see some friends. Or even meet new people."
"I hope I'll be able to go next year."
"Don't worry, that's pretty much guaranteed." Jungkook said.
"I-"
"Food's here!" Mingyu shouted, he was at the entrance with two managers and all of our dinners. People started pouring into the living room and it was unanimously decided - even though it definetely was not the best idea - that we would eat in the living room.
"I really hope they wrote the names of the meals on the boxes." Mingyu said, while starting to empty the bags. "Oh wait! They're sorted in the bags." Yugyeom joined him.
"Jjajangmyeon is here, Bibimbap that one and this one is the Japchae. The rest is Sundae, tteokbokki and chicken for us to share." The latter concluded.
Everyone went to collect their meals and we sat in a circle around the side dishes. Only then did I realize how hungry I was. The others were too, because for some time no one was talking anymore.
"So Y/N," Jeonghan started."I overheard you talking with your manager. When is your MV going to be released?"
"Um... I don't know. I feel like I really know nothing."
He laughed."We never knew when we were going to debut. We basically had to do everything on our own."
"That's really worrying and impressive at the same time." I noted. "What I just said makes no sense."
"What I'm saying is that I think you have no reason to worry about your debut lime many other trainees. Your album is already finished, three comanies are taking care of you, and you already have everything planned. Plus, your manager is really well organised. She seems great."
"Thank you for giving me advice." I smiled. I was finished my rice and helping myself with some tteokbokki. Somehow Seungcheol had fallen asleep on the couch after finishing his dinner, even with all the activity that was now going on around him. To my left, a group of member, were playing a mobile game together while the ones on my right were talking amongst each other about the BTS members' experience in New Zealand or just all world tours the groups had been on. Some of them were not finished with eating but we were now mostly focused on the side dishes in the middle, which were disappearing quickly. Dino suddenly got up to say something to everyone.
"I have an idea if you're not too tired." He announced.
"Who's not tired yet?" Jeonghan helped him.
More than half of the boys raised their hands or said they weren't.
"Go on with your idea." He said.
"I wanted to go to the studio and to a random dance play." Chan said.
"I like that idea." Yugyeom immediately joined.
I liked it too, I think I was going to be really good at this. However, I said something else.
"It's not fair! You all have choreos that will come up and I'll be the only one who doesn't!" I complained as a joke.
"Like you don't know our choreos..." Jimin said sarcastically. "Let's go."
He headed down to the studio in one big group. While the others went into the studio, some members stayed behind. I was curious so I joined them. Jun, Vernon, Scoups - who was now awake - and Dokyeom were whispering among each other, holding a box in their hands.
"What's going on?" I whispered.
"It's Seungkwan's birthday." Seokmin answered.
"Really? Couldn't someone tell me that? I feel bad." I said.
"That's not the point. We're preparing a surprise." Vernon said while lighting candles on the cake.
We all went in the studio where the others were waiting for us. Jun turned off the lights.
"Happy birthday!" Everyone said.

Hello everyone. I have not updated  in a really really long time. Im so sorry. I have loads of exams coming up but ill try to write more often. Thank you for staying with me. Oh and thank you so much, I just saw my story was 7th in #bts !!!
