"What do you want from me?!" I yelled.

The entire room went silent. Every eye went on me, everyone's mouths hung open. Except Jerome of course, who wore his signature smile.

"There she is." Jerome said darkly. Penny sat there, with her mouth hanging open.

"Say something again, would ya, dollface?" Jerome said, looking me dead in the eyes. I didn't feel anxious, or regret, just anger. Why wouldn't he leave me alone? I scoffed and looked away.

"How about a name?"

I rolled my eyes.

"Well, I know you can talk, Gorgeous, so don't bother with a charade." He said. He wouldn't leave me alone until I said something, so I figure why not, right?

"Ava." I said grimly. His smile grew even wider, if that was possible. I raised my eyebrows. "Happy?" I said sarcastically.

He chuckled, then grabbed my wrist and forced me to face him. "I win." He said.

"I didn't realize it was a game." I said, with surprisingly, no fear.

"Of course it is, Princess."

"What's the point of tellin ya my name if you don't use it?" I said. He ignored my question.

"You have such a pretty voice, y'know that?" He said, looking directly in my eyes. Pretty voice? What does that even mean? "Now we just need to get ya to smile." He finished.

I scoffed. "You're crazy." I said, like I was realizing it for the first time. Jerome laughed and let go of my wrist to gesture to the whole asylum. "You got me, dead on!"

Jerome finally went away leaving me with Penny. "
