Vanessa laughed loudly, her head tilted back as Emily giggled next to her, the two telling embarrassing stories of Sam and Edward. The light brunette woman looked over the pan of food, stirring the pot while she wiped away her tears. "Sam was so embarrassed that he stumbled and fell onto me." Emily laughed while the girl smiled.

"That reminds of when Edward was there when I was first turned, I ran so hard into him that we went flying out a window." She giggled, basking in the memory and then sighed. "I then placed my hand around his throat, almost killing him." She told Emily, the smile on her face slowly going away while she frowned. "I knew from the beginning that we shouldn't have been together." She muttered and the woman to her right placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Why would you say that?" Emily asked, Vanessa shaking her head.

"Because I was a wolf, he was a vampire. We're natural enemies." She told her, only for Emily to roll her eyes.

"You wouldn't have married him if you didn't love him." She told the woman, the vampire stopping to think for a moment.

"He won me over with his charm and how much we both wanted to die because of what we were." She told Emily, taking a seat while Emily finished cooking.

Emily took that moment to actually look over the seventeen year old girl. She had a whole life ahead of her, watched her family withered away, and Emily never thought about it like that.

She went back to the food while she gave her a frown. "You said that you had something else to talk about." She stated, trying to get Vanessa's mind off her suicidal thoughts.

"Um, yeah." She muttered, rubbing her eyes while clearing her throat. "When I yelled at Bella, I got angry." She told the scarred woman, Emily taking the food off the pan and placing it over a plate, ready for the boys to take it whenever they come back.

"Well, that's normal. She basically said she only loved Edward and not you." She said slightly annoyed at the humans choice of words.

"Yeah, but I was hot." She told Emily, the woman stopping everything she was doing and furrowed her eyebrows.

"Aren't vampires supposed to be- -"

"Cold." Vanessa finished. "Freezing even. But I was so hot that my body was steaming." She told Emily, before the woman could say anything else, she heard laughter and teasing as she smirked and felt arms wrap around her. She grabbed the person and pushed them down, using her strength as the boy gasped.
