Transition
To simply put it, Vanessa wasn't having a good day. When she saw the sun rise, she heard a scream. A loud scream that caused her skin to crawl and she rushed over to see the pack watching Quil fall in pain. The girl sighed, looking over the wolves while stepping closer to him. "Quil." She whispered, grabbing onto his shoulder while he could feel her cool skin over his heated one. Sweat was building up as he was itchy from the heat.
The girl saw the fear in his eyes while she looked around. "I need water and clothing." She told them, seeing them rush away, leaving a black wolf to watch her as she looked over the boys broken leg.
She furrowed her eyebrows while grabbing his hands. "You need to let it flow through. The more you try to stop it, the more it hurts." She told him, the boy shaking as he cried softly.
"But it hurts if I let it go." He told her, the woman nodding her head.
"I know. Would you rather it hurt for hours or for a second?" She asked him, the look in her eyes telling him to trust her.
He took a deep breath, his leg slowly breaking more and then for a moment, his whole body shifted with a loud pop. The girl smiled when she saw his wolf form, his fur color a dark ombré as it met his face of browns and oranges.
She saw the fear in his eyes while Sam went to help him. He nods his head over at Vanessa as she grinned. "Follow him, Quil. He'll take care of you." She told him, the boy whimpering while walking towards Sam.
She sighed, leaning against a tree while she saw Embry walk towards her with a smirk. "If I didn't know better, you seem to miss this." He told her, the girl rolling her eyes.
"Of course I miss this, I used to be a wolf. I even used to have a pack." She told him, leaning her head against the bark of the tree while she looked up at the sun rising.
"I'm sorry, I forgot." He told her, the boy still new to the whole wolf situation he was placed in.
She shook her head, the woman feeling him sit beside her. "You still smell." Embry muttered while she laughed.
"You don't smell all that great either, Embry. It's like wet dog." She told him with a grimace as he rolled his eyes next.
"Yeah, well, at least I don't smell like death." He teased while the girl rolled her eyes pushing him with her elbow.
"Whatever, Dickhead." She teased while he gasped, holding his chest.
"Rude and hurtful." He told her while she chuckled, the girl leaning her head against his shoulder while she rolled her eyes, feeling slightly sad.
