So little time
Try to understand that I'm
Trying to make a move just to stay in the game
I try to stay awake and remember my name
But everybody's changing and I don't feel the same
"Everybody's Changing" -Keane

Amelia Shepherd rang the doorbell at the Derek's dream house at 2:37, waking up all three of the kids, who were ecstatic at the sight of their aunt and even more at the fact that they had an excuse to be awake. Meredith Grey however, was not very happy about her children up at 2:37 because their crazy aunt shown up. She had to shoo Ellis and Bailey back into their rooms while Zola sat so quietly on the couch she forgot her daughter was even there.

"Mom, is Aunt Amelia ok?"

Meredith whipped around and sighed, realizing it was just her daughter sitting on a couch watching Amelia chug down a large jug of orange juice. She had a tired look on her face and Derek sighed, taking Zola's shoulder and lightly pushed her off the couch. "Yes, Auntie Amelia is fine."

The girl looked Meredith in the eye and stood on her tiptoes to tell her mother something. "I think she has a broken heart."

It took her by surprise, but realized that it could be true.

Strange, how a girl who was only
"Maybe, but you need to sleep ok Zozo?"

"Ok mom."

Zola went back to her room and Meredith sighed, wondering what was going on with the the littlest Shepherd.

For three days, Amelia crashed over, drinking orange juice by the jugful and not saying anything to anyone other than Bailey. Derek tried bribing Bailey to tell them what happened but apparently she had promised him that after she left, she would buy him a carton of mint chip ice cream, and for Bailey, nothing was better than mint chip ice cream. They didn't dare to stop buying juice because they were afraid that she'd relapse if they didn't.

On the third day, she finally cracked.

"Owen cheated." She said.

"I KNEW IT!" Cried Zola, who ran around the house then sat beside her aunt on the bar stool. "Sorry."

"What?" Meredith said.

"You heard me. Owen, that fucking bastard, cheated on me."

"Auntie Amelia, that's a bad word." Replied Zola. "You shouldn't say bad words."

Amelia looked at Zola. "Zola honey, if your boyfriend cheats on you, you can say bad words."

Meredith felt the urge to slap her forehead, but she didn't. "Damn. Why?"

"Ha, you don't know Meredith?"

Her half-sister glared at her, and she really was starting to get worried. She shook her head cautiously and looked at Derek, who shrugged at her.

Amelia's face hardened more, which seemed impossible at the time, but she did. "You liar."

"Amelia, what are you talking about?" She asked, honestly not having any idea.

"STOP PRETENDING YOU DIDN'T KNOW!" She screamed.

Suddenly, Meredith was pounced on by her sister and she gasped, fighting back quickly. There were claws, screams, and scary yells thrown at each other. It was one of those days she really didn't want Amelia in her life. Derek and Zola pulled her off of Meredith, even though Zola barely did anything as her father was stronger, and she wasn't even ten.
