5. The Cure

I woke up in my bed. Confused about how I got there. I must've fell asleep in the living room with Damon and then he brought me here. I wonder how he's feeling. If he's in pain. I have to find a cure. I can't let him die, not in a time that we both need each other. I turned on bed to look at my night table watch. 8:00 am. Suddenly I felt the door open and I prentended that I was asleep. It must've been Elena. They closed the door and walked away. Suddenly I heard voices so I got up and walked towards the door and opened it slighly to see who was talking in the halls.

"What do you want?" I heard Elena ask. Throught the slot of the door I could only see Elena but she wouldn't be talking to herself, right? I mean we've all been through a lot but none of us is that crazy...

"I want to apologize." I couldn't see who it was but I could cleary hear them and I recognized that voice. It was Damon.

"Damon..." Elena said. She was still mad at him because of what he had done to her. He kind of forced her to drink his blood so that when Klaus killed her, she would come back as a vampire. But with the spell Bonnie performed she was alive and human.

"Please." He told her calmly. I know where he's getting he is going to apologize because of the fact that he is dying and that he couldn't take the fact of dying and having her hating him. I would do the same thing if I was in his shoes. "Elena feeding you with my blood, that was wrong." Oh, you think? Of course it was wrong. I'm not judging because he was not thinking clearly because of the all situation, but that didn't made him less guilty. His intentions were good, the way of getting them... not that much.

"Yes, you were." Elena muttered.

"And I know I don't deserve your forgiveness but..." He really hated the idea of having Elena hating him till his very end. And I understand why, I mean if the person I was in love with hated me to its guts I would do the same thing as Damon, not die without their forgiveness. Oh, yeah... You've read it well Damon is in love with Elena that - in current times - is dating his brother. Yup... tricky situation but as me and Damon are reallly good friends he told me what he felt about her. And no I don't judge him. Love doesn't make the right choices... EVER. But we have to follow our heart every single time because ocasionally he is right and it's on those times that we find our true love. I'm not in the right place to make this speeches because of my situation but it is true. Several cientist and philosophers have reach that same results. "I need it."

"And I need some time. Maybe a lot of time." C'mon Elena he's apologizing in his deathbed the least you could do was forgive him.

"Sure... Of course." They made a brief silence. "Take all the time that you need." In vamp speed Damon was gone and Elena stood there in the middle of the hallway. I opened the door completly and walked over to her and put an arm around her shoulders.

"What did Damon want?" I asked hiding the fact that I heard the all conversation. She looked at me with a smal smile.

"Damon apologized for feeding me his blood." She answered sort of relieved. I open my eyes wide like that was the fisrt time that I had seen a monster.

"Really? He did?" I asked smiling. She gave me a small nod. "He's a good guy. Did you forgave him?"

"Not really. I told him I needed time and he accepted that." She said shyly. The look on my eyes turned from joy to a 'you're serious?!' look. She shrugged. "He gave me his blood for I to become a vampire!" She whispered yelling.

"He only did that because he couldn't see his brother losing the love of his life. It would be better if you were a vampire then dead. I would've done the same thing." I told her in the same tone as she talked to me.

"That's why we're so different. I actually care for the people I love. You, for your well being, would turn your sister into a monster just because you are so weak that you think you wouldn't make ot without me!" She yelled once again but not loud enough to wake up Jeremy. I pulled her inside my room and closed the door behind me so that we could talk better.
