Father (Argus) - rare kind of vampire hunter - EPIC - (they are destined to bring peace among humans and supernatural beings / they only kill when they are deeply hurt by that supernatural person).
Several vampire perks like:
Strength - like vampires.
Immortality - stop aging at 22.
Mind reading - with the eternal love.
An eternal love (when the Eternal Love is hurt that person suffers with him and vice-versa).
Enemies to other kinds of vampire hunters (because they are deeply romantic people which makes them weak towards any kind of creature).
Her father was friends with Elijah and Klaus when he met her mother Elsa. Her father and mother fell deeply in love and then her mom got pregnant which put Sam in dangerous because other vampire hunters and some other supernatural beings (werewolves) that wanted to end their species.
After Sam's mom was pregnant Vampire Hunters came to kill her so that their blood line wouldn't grow more.
So that that vampire hunter wouldn't kill Sam, her father handed her over to Klaus, while Elijah stayed behind so that he could help Sam's dad protect Elsa, her mom.
Sam never knew what happened after Klaus left cause Elijah never told her. After Klaus left with Sam in his arms he knew right then that she would be something really important in his life and the fear of losing her was way too big so he left Sam in an orphanage, not only because of the vampire hunters and supernatural creatures that would pursue her in all her life but also because of the Enemies Klaus had done over the centuries.
Flaws:
Hopeless Romantic - When they fall in love it is for real, it's like the universe created that person to be with them no matter what their choices were. They only fall in love once in their entire life so that they can spend eternity with their soul mate. Eternal Love Type... Vampire - it is always a vampire. And the prophecy says that nature opens up an exception to Epics so that they can procreate when the time is right.
Weakness towards family and love ones - they are obligated, emocionally, to do the best so no one they love gets hurt.
