Rebekah and Finn weren't very pleased with the idea of me moving in with them. I don't blame them. I'm a stranger who came into their family, if it was with me I wouldn't take it too good either. Klaus and I are not together as a couple yet. We have to figure out how this all works, but in the mintime I'm gonna enjoy the adventure that I'm going to start. Finn, Rebekah and Kol walked out of the office leaving me with Klaus and Elijah. Who would've thought I was going to move to New Orleans with my 'true love'?
"I've got stuff to take care of now that we're here. If you don't mind brother, you could show her the house." Klaus told Elijah nicely before giving me a kiss in my cheek and leaving us two behind.
"His he always like that? Just leaving without further notice?" Elijah chuckled and nodded.
"Always." He outstretched his hand gesturing for me to go ahead outside the room. We walked to the hall ways and Elijah closed the door behind him.
He showed me all the house, all the rooms and the lounges. He said he didn't knew where was my room, that was a Klaus' decision or whatever.
"Where are we heading now?" I asked looking at Elijah that was admired by my excitement.
"Wherever you wanna go." He told me leading me to his car that was parked outside the mansion.
"I don't know New Orleans, you've lived here before." I told him getting into the passenger seat. "So how is it to live with Klaus?" I asked as he turned on the engine.
"With its highs and lows... it's trully... unique." He deadpanned.
"It can't be that bad, right?"
"He can be a Diva sometimes." I let out a chuckle and so did Elijah. "When he wants something, he gets it. No matter how hard it is to get."
"In that way he is kind of like me." I said looking at Elijah who hold a big smile.
"And right now he wants you." I looked at him and my cheeks starting blushing. "I don't know you very well, but I believe you two are more alike than you realize." He turned into a big street and parked his Mercedes SUV. We got out and started walking.
"I have to see to believe." I told him confidently. "Where are we?"
"We're heading to Lafayette Cemetery." He told me like it was the most common thing in the world.
"You are taking me to a cemetery? The first thing I see from New Orleans is a cemetery?" He chuckled.
"You said I could choose. And besides I believe you'll like it. It's quiet and I take you like silence." He's so right. But a cemetery? Is that right? We walked inside through a couple of iron gades with iron letters that spelled 'Lafayette Cemetery I'.
"Since Finn and Rebekah don't like me, and I can't blame them, I can only have the chance to get to know three Mikaelsons. Tell me something about you Elijah." I told him.
"Well my sibling acted wrong on you, so I think you can blame them."
"I'm a stranger that just walked into your family. If it was with me I think I'd be mad too." I tried to explain.
"They don't understand how good you'll do to Niklaus... You'll change him." He told me honestly. "Now about me... I've lived for a 1000 years."
"Tell me something I don't know." He chuckled. "Tell me something that'll make me like you."
"I always keep my word."
"Uhm, an honorable guy. You are rare my friend." We walk into a a kind of street full of walls with graves and we stopped in the middle of a big marble wall, full of names and dates.
"You see all this people?" He asked looking at me. I looked at the wall admired with all the names on it. They are maybe more than a 100. I nodded. "I met them all." I'm mesmerized. All of them?! I look at the dates and see 1919... Kind of old.
"All of them?" I asked and touched on the marble wall to feel the cold of the stone.
"I killed some of them." I looked at him in disbelief. And he nodded. "Some of them tried to betray our family, I had to protect what was mine."
"I notice that you guys worship family above all. I wish I had that type of connection with my family."
"Elena's a nice girl, isn't she?" Elijah asked starting to walk again and I followed.
"She is. She's hard to deal with. I left in a time that we were mad. She called me selfish for wanting to save Damon without telling her anything. And..."
"She hurt you. Because you weren't thinking of yourself you were thinking in the best for everyone." I nodded.
"She doesn't get that. We're too different. I get along with Jeremy better."
"My family and I are different too. Niklaus is temperamental and doensn't accept a 'no' for answer, Rebekah is too spoiled and will get what she wants no matter how hard it is to get it or who stands in her way, Kol don't care about anything but himself and Finn he always hated what we were but he hated more the fact that we actually learned to live like this and he was never able to do so." It's so akward to know how different they all are, really.
"What about you?" I asked looking at Elijah who chuckled.
"I'm the one who saves their ass everytime they get into trouble." I let out a little laugh. "I always tend to stay in everyone's side when their fighting... I always end up being the bad guy of the picture."
"It must be... complicated." I told him with an apologetically smile. Suddenly a girl stood in our way.
"You are the 'one', aren't you?" The girl said with a wide smile. What is she on about?
"I'm sorry but I believe I don't follow." I told her with a frown.
"You're Klaus' true love, aren't you?" She gave me a wide smile again and took one step closer. Elijah pulled me a little behind him in a protective way. The girl just smiled. "Aww, look at that." She took another step closer.
"What do you want?" Elijah asked her as calmly as he could.
"Mikaelson, let the girl speak for herself." The girl said still too amused. "You are Klaus' weakness."
"I'm sorry to let you know this... but you are quite wrong." Elijah told her still very calm. I took a step ahead leaving Elijah a bit behind me.
"What do you want?" I asked her with my brave voice but as calm as Elijah was.
"You. You can help me take Klaus down, you see because of him my sister died so I kind of want payback." She said smiling. I cannot believe her intentions. She's crazy.
"I'm not helping you do anything. Just stay away from us please." I pleaded and grabbed Elijah's hand and guided him out of the cemetery. We walked in silence till we reached his car. I whooped into the passenger seat while Elijah took the driver seat.
"Witches..." Elijah mumbled under his breath but very audible to myself.
"She was a witch?" I asked Elijah who looked deep in thought.
"They're plotting something... I know it. But you do not need to worry. Niklaus and I will protect you." I widened my eyes at his explanation. Protecting me? Why do I need protection?
"What do you mean protect me?" I asked looking at Elijah.
"They know about you. News like this travel like lightnings. They need you to take down my brother but they won't succeed." Elijah told me very calmly.
"Should I worry?" I asked with a little fear of his answer.
"Not for now." He told me keeping his eyes on the road.
This is going to be an interesting journey... I just hope Klaus will be okay.
