"So you aren't going to tell me where we are going, are you?" I asked and I turned around in my seat so that I was looking at him, my seat belt scratching the skin of my neck. He kept his eyes on the road but answered me.

"It's a surprise." He told me smirking. "But I bet you'll love it."

"Is it far?" I asked getting impatient.

"A little bit." He gave a quick look over me and I felt my cheeks burning. Suddenly my stomach made a roar. I don't remember the last time I've eaten. I hold onto my stomach for it not to roar again but it did. "You're hungry." He told me calmy.

"No shit Sherlock." He chuckled. "I don't remember when was the last time I ate." I told him. He chuckled again and I couldn't help but chuckle with him. I turned to look at him and examined every inch of his face and noticed how cute his dimples were. They were so noticible. Sam what are you thinking? But they are so cute that make me want to nibble his cheeks.

"Sam?" I felt a quick fan and I noticed that Klaus was calling me. "What were you thinking?" He asked with a huge and naughty smirk.

"Nothing..." I said shyly not wanting him to know the fantasies I was imagining inside my head.

"I'm gonna park in some dinner for you to eat." I nodded and bored with the long paused conversation I turned the radio on. And the music 'Here comes the sun' by The Beatles was playing.

"Woow, I love this song." I turned the volume a little bit louder and started singing along. Klaus laughed at my madness with the music.

"You have a nice voice." He told me turning the sound a little bit lower. "Though this song it's kind of offensive for vampires." He told me laughing.

"Oh right, cause vampires can't walk in the sun." He nodded. He turned the car into a little diner with some neon signs. He turned off the engine and we got out of the car and walked inside the dinner.

Inside there were some people at the counter and a couple of people in some tables. We walked to one table and sat in opposite sides. Soon the waitress came.

"What can I get you?" She asked. Her name tag said that her name was Jessie. She had a dark red color in her lips and a lot of eye liner around her eyes. But something was wrong... she was batting her eyelashes at Klaus, like he would like a bitch like her. "I've never seen you around." She said smiling at Klaus and she touched his arm making Klaus chuckle. I don't like what she is insinuating. Usually I'm not very possessive but I'm feeling this thing inside of me that it's making my blood boil. I kicked Klaus' leg under the table and he let out a laugh making the waitress nervous.

"I want a plate of pancakes and a cup of dark coffee." I muttered not amused with the all scene. She was chewing a gum and when she looked at me she chewed with her mouth open and Klaus let out another laugh.

"I just want some orange juice." The waitress walked away bouncing her ass like she was on a bike in a tumoultuous street. Slut. "Why did you kick me?" Klaus started laughing once again.

"Why are you laughing?" I asked ofended. It wasn't funny, technically I was protecting what was mine... sort of... OMG this is getting out of control.

"You were jealous. And I think that you are over enjoying my company." He continued laughing and so did I.

"Maybe. She is a slut, Klaus. How could you fall for her crap?" The waitress came with our meal. She sent me a killer look and I chuckled and looker over at Klaus who was holding his laugh. The waitress walked away and we were finally able to laugh.

"I wasn't falling for her crap, I noticed how uncomfortable you were and I liked to see you like that." I can't believe him.

"Like that?" He laughed and touched my hand that was resting near my plate full of yummy pancakes. I let out a nervous chuckled and he gave me a nice smirk. I shivered at his touch and something inside of me started tickling.

"The jealousy. Protecting what's yours." I looked in his eyes and removed my hand from under his and started eating my pancakes. I felt my cheeks heating a little. We ate in silence looking each other in the eyes. Truth to be told I'm actually enjoying his company. All that he showed me before in Mystic Falls stayed behind with the town. The Klaus here with me is not the monster that killed my aunt and tried to kill my sister. Not even close. Im actually starting to feel that this will be a lovely journey. We finished eating, and by that I meant that I finished eating. We walked over to the counter to pay. The waitress that took our requests was going to make our bill.

"Five thirty." She said still chewing her gum. Klaus leaned in.

"The meal was on the house and you'll come with us outside no fear necessary." He told her. I think he is compelling her. The waitress walked outside the dinner and we followed.

"What was that for?" I asked following his long strides.

"I'm still hungry, love." He told me smirking. Eww. He was going to feed on her. Eww. Eww. Eww. We walked outside and the waitress was standing by our car.

"I'll drag her to the back of the dinner. Is better if you stay here." He told me. I nodded. He handed me over the car keys and he dragged the waitress to the back of the dinner. I unlocked the car and walked in. I turned on the radio and and closed my eyes enjoying "Body and Soul" by Lester Young. My phone buzzing brought me back to reality. I lowered the music and picked up the phone.

"I can't believe you did this!" I heard Damon muttered angry on the other side of the phone.

"You're feeling better!!!" I yelled happy totally ignoring his angry comentary on the other side. "I can't believe it actually worked, you're alive!"

"Stop the act Sam, what is wrong with you? How could you leave with him?" He's completely ruining my mood. But I get why he's angry...

"It's not an act, I'm thrilled that you're alive!" I yelled into the phone. "Don't give me any boring speeches Damon, I did what was best for everyone." I told him honestly.

"You mean that leaving us was the best thing? Your sister is a wreck, Stefan is feeling guilty and I... Oh my... I lost my only friend. You still think you made the right choice?" He said irritated.

"If I let Stefan with Klaus, they would leave any how, he could've hurt Stefan. I spared you and Elena the lost of the most important thing in your life. It was the best thing. Elena would be devastated if the love of her life was gone and you would've lost your brother to him. Believe me I did the right thing." He didn't said anything. A silence started. "Damon?"

"I'm here. I'm just worried about you Sam, he's a monster you're not." He told me calmly for the first time.

"You're wrong. He's not a monster, at least not to me." I told him confidently. It is true. In all this time we've been together (a few hours...) he never hurt me or tried to.

"You're just talking because of the 'true love thing'." He told me coldly. "You're better than him."

"That's why he needs me. He'll change. I can prove it to you." I'm sure he will change, at least he'll change for me."

"Fine Sam, if you say so. I gotta go. If you need anything call my right away. I miss you." He told me.

"I miss you too." He hang up the phone. I turned the volume up again and closed my eyes. I have to prove Damon that Klaus is not the way they think he is. I can change him.
