I should've brought my jacket with me. I thought as the cold breeze made me shiver. Tears kept streaming down my face. I touched my jeans' front pocket looking for my phone and realized I left it at the mansion. But in the back pockets I found a few dollars. It's Christmas Day and I miss my family. I miss little Jeremy and Elena but I do miss my best friend too.
I don't know what to do. How can I choose. Maybe I won't. Maybe I just head back in there call Damon and go home. I'm tired of being split between them. I'm tired of everything. I'm done. The sound of branches breaking behind me made me turn around.
"Hey there Darling." Kol appeared behind me with a happy expression on his face. Has has been following me?
"Hey." I cleaned the tears with the back of my hands and his expression changed into a worried one.
"Are you alright?" He asked. I just shook my head. There's a big lump in my throat. I sob trying to hold back more tears. He came closer and wrapped his arms around me making me rest my head in his chest. I needed this. "What's wrong darling?"
"I need you to take me home." I said. I couldn't hold it back anymore. More tears streamed down my cheeks.
"Are you sure about that? Something tells me that Nik won't be very happy with that."
"I need to. If you can't take me I can walk back." I told him pushing him off of me. I need to go home. Can't be here anymore.
"Fine. I'll take you home." He raised his hands up in surrender. "I'm getting the car. Meet me by the Rousseau's Bar."

We've been driving for almost three hours. Both of us have been silent. Did I make the right decision? I'm not sure about that. My inner lady tells me. I shut her up. This is the right thing. I can't choose. I refuse to choose. I rather lose both.
Kol is driving and I'm cuddled up in a ball in the passenger seat looking at the trees passing through us. I notice Kol peaking on me from time to time.
"Can I turn on the radio?" I asked him looking at him. He has his eyes on the road and smirks when he hears my voice.
"I really did think that the cat had got your tongue." He says turning on the radio. I roll my eyes at him and turn again to the window. 'Take Me to Church' by Hozier is playing. The sound was low which made it seem like a background melody only.
"Thank you for taking me home."
"May I ask why you want to go home?"
"I just can't stand your family. I'm on my breaking point."
"You can't choose." He mumbled low but I heard.
"How do you know?" I turn to him and our eyes connect.
"I just do. I understand. You don't want to hurt them, you refuse to hurt them." He pauses. How does he know? "You rather go away and hurt yourself than them."
"So you get it." I mumbled low. I can't have myself choosing one and face the consequences of that action. You can call me weak, cause I know that I am.
"Sometimes destiny isn't the way we thought it would go... And our plans change." He pauses. He's right. "But I'm sure that your destiny is with one of them and walking away it will only make it worst." I rolled my eyes. "But it's your life and it's your decision. I'm going to support you through whatever. You can count with me."
"Thank you. Although, you're right. But I do need time to clear my head." He nodded and moved forward.

After a few more hours we arrived at Mystic Falls. Kol parked outside the Boarding House.
"Thank you again." I told him turning to him that was on the driver seat. He smiled and grabbed my hand placing a little kiss on it.
"Take care. And promise you'll go back." After a really long trip and a very stressful day I gave him an honest smile.
"I will and I'll try." I whooped out of the car and headed to the boarding house. I left in such a worry that left my phone, my clothes and my shoes there. My luck is that I still have clothes and shoes here. I walked up to the door and knocked. After a few seconds Damon opened me the door with the better-be-good-to-be-bothering-me look.
"Sam?" His eyes were wide and a smile started to grow up in his face. "I can't believe you're back!" He came closer and grabbed me wrapping his arms around my torso and spinning me around. I wrapped my arms around his neck and rested my head on his shoulders.
"I missed you." I whispered on his shoulder. He put me down making me look at him.
"I missed you too Kid. What happened back there?" He asked looking a little bit worried.
"I just needed to get away. Things were crazy!" I said trying to hold back the tears that threatened to drop from my big green eyes. He rested a hand on my face rubbing my cheek with his thumb.
"I'm glad you're back." He took his hand away from my face and picked me up again and hold me tight. "We need you here." He put me down and Stefan showed up at the door.
"Look who's back!" Damon said still looking at me.
"Hey!" Stefan greeted and hugged me quickly. "What you doing here?"
"I just need time away from the Mikaelsons." Stefan nodded with a small smile that quickly got turned into a worried look. "Have you talked with your sister?" I shook my head in denial.
"This was my first stop." Stefan nodded.
"I'm heading out to their house do you want a ride?" I shook my head.
"Thank you Stef but right now I want to be with Damon. Maybe he can drive me later." Damon quickly made a bad face and Stefan deviated his eyes from me. "What happened?" I asked looking at Damon.
"I better go." Stefan quickly left us and walked to his car and drove off.
"What happened?" I looked back at Damon.
"We'll talk inside." He gestured me to get in and I did so.
Oh my god! What did he do?
