Chapter 7: New Friend

Ok, so this chapter's kinda just a filler chapter, so there's not gonna be any action in this.

Ty's POV

"What the F**k just happened?!" Ian asked, shocked.

"I- I don't know..." Jason said looking at the dead squid. "But I think Adam almost killed us."

"No, s**t, Sherlock." I muttered "But why.

Jerome pulled Mitch up, who groaned and opened his eyes groggily "Hey Biggums." Mitch muttered.

"Hey G, you ok?" Jerome asked

Mitch nodded "I think so, only I had the weirdest dream that Sky went evil with glowing eyes and s**t and almost killed us. Weird right?"

Jerome remained silent, then Mitch seemed to realised where we still were "Oh great, I wasn't dreaming was I?"

"I wish." Jerome muttered "What are we gonna do?" He asked looking at me.

That's when I noticed everyone was looking at me, even Jason.

"What?" I asked "Why are you all looking at me?"

"Dude, we may all lead this army together, but you, Adam and Jason are the main leaders." Ian said, picking up Quentin in his arms, who was jerking every so often from the electricity.

"Then why not ask Jason?" I asked, "I don't want to be in charge!"

"Don't look at me." Jason said "I'm pretty sure everyone will listen to you more than me."

I sighed, knowing this wasn't helping anyone "Fine, but only until we get Adam back, then I'm done."

"I just hope we can get him back." Jerome muttered.

I glared at him "Thanks for the pep talk Jerome, you really should give them more often." I said sarcastically.

Jerome shrugged "I don't want to think about it, but we can't ignore it."

"We can ignore it for now." I said coldly.

Ian sighed "Can you please stop arguing?" He asked

I sighed again "Alright then, Mitch, are you sure your ok?" I asked

Mitch nodded and stood straight "My head still hurts, but I'll be good."

I nodded "Alright, Ian, you and Jason take Quentin to the infirmary, then go tell the others about what happened. Only tell the generals though, we don't need the whole army in a panic."

Jason and Ian nodded and walked back upstairs to the infirmary.

"Mitch, Jerome, we're gonna go talk to Seto, he's got to know something about what happened." I said walking up the stairs to the library, where Seto most likely would be.

Mitch and Jerome nodded and followed.

Mitch's POV

We walked into the library to find several stacks of books piled high on different tables and a ladder leaded against one of the bookshelves to reach books on the higher shelves.

The ladder was rocking slightly and I could see a girl on it, reaching for a large brown book on the shelf.

By the wall, between to aisles of books, was an old wooden door, Seto's room. We gave him a room, but he wanted one in the library so he had easy access to all the books, so he made his own with magic.

A small explosion came from behind the door that shook the library and purple smoke puffed out from under the door. I could hear Seto swearing from inside, I guess he got a potion wrong.

The girl on the ladder lost her balance and slipped off it, yelping as she fell.

I ran forward to catch her... But really just soften her landing as when I caught her, I fell to the floor as well.

"I'm so sorry! Are you alright?" The girl asked, climbing off me.

I got up and looked at her. She had hazel hair with turquoise tips and matching hazel eyes, she had a white t-shirt on that said 'FREE HUGS!!!!' in bold black writing, light blue denim shorts and white tennis shoes on.

She also had blotches of blue skin on her arms so I assumed she was a squid hybrid. I'd seen a few hybrids around so I wasn't fazed by that, although every squid hybrid I've seen has been with the enemy, but I didn't see her as one.

"Uh... Yeah I'm fine." I said "Are you?"

She nodded and smiled "Yeah, thanks for sort of catching me."

"No problem." I said smiling back. "What's your name?"

"Bella." She said "And I'm guessing your Mitch? Seto's told me a bit about his friends."

"Yeah." I said

"If you two are done, can we please see Seto now?" Ty asked impatiently, Jerome just smirked.

"Uh... Yeah, let's do that." I said

Bella walked towards the door, still billowing purple smoke, and opened it.

Purple smoke poured out of the room and Seto stumbled out of the room coughing. The corner of his purple cloak was on fire and he had black soot on his face. He looked at Bella, who was trying not to laugh and said "Don't say a word."

"Which word are you revering to?" Bella asked "I, told, you, or so?"

Seto glared at her and I smirked "Seto, what happened?"

"Seto wanted to make a potion that would give people fire resistance for a whole day, I told him it wasn't a good idea to mix that much magma cream and redstone together, but he insisted." Bella said smiling widely.

(I don't know if that's the right, recipe for a fire resistance potion, so sorry if that's wrong)

"Oh shut up." Seto grumbled, stomping the fire out of his cloak. "Anyways, what's up guys?" He asked "Is something wrong?"

Ty, Jerome and I looked at each other.

"Something like that..." Ty said.
