Chapter 8: Seto's Books

Uh...........

Hi,

This is Littlewolf's friend Bigwolf.

I'm currently filling in for Littlewolf as she has fainted. *Looks over at Littlewolf's body*

So she finished the chapter and discovered that, with the help of the fricken amazing @bloxiegirl123, this book has reached over 600 reads and received 59 votes...

So she screamed for a while, then fainted.

So I'm doing her a favour and posting this chapter for her.

Bella's POV

Seto looked at Ty with concern. "What have you guys done this time?" He asked.

Mitch looked at him, raising his hands in surrender "Nothing! Well, we didn't do anything."

Seto frowned "Then what's wrong?" He asked

"Uh, Herobrine?" Jerome said.

I stiffened, I hadn't herd that name in ages and I wasn't happy to hear it again. Memories flashed in my mind, cold white eyes, needles, screaming.

I shuddered, pushing the memories to the back of my mind, and looking at Seto.

Seto stared at Jerome, "Please tell me your kidding." Seto muttered.

"I wish." Mitch sighed "But there's more."

Seto sighed, stepped out of his room, shut the door, walked over to a table that wasn't as covered in books as the others and sat in a chair around the table.

The three generals and I followed and sat on chairs around the table, I sat between to Mitch and Seto.

"So tell me what's happened." Seto said.

Ty sighed and began to tell us what happened.

Le time skip because you already know what happened...

Seto's POV

"So let me get this straight." I said "Sky got kidnapped by the squids and taken to the Nether where we're guessing Herobrine did something to him so he's now evil."

Ty nodded "That's pretty much it."

I glanced at Bella and I could see she was struggling not to remember what happened to her. 'It's ok. We'll figure something out.' I spoke telepathically to Bella.

She gave a slight nod to show she had heard me and relaxed slightly.

I crossed my arms and leaned back on my chair, thinking. "I think I've herd of something like this before." I said standing up and walking over to a bookshelf by the the padlocked iron door leading to the archives below the library.

I scanned the long shelf of large, black books, each with different gold runes on the binders I found the book I was looking for and pulled it off the shelf.

I brought it over to the table and dropped it on the table with a slam! I coughed, swiping dust particles flying off the book with my hand.

"What is this?" Jerome asked trying to read the runes on the cover.

"My grandfather's journal, book 54." I said bluntly as I opened the book, revealing the runes, all written in my great grandfather's hand writing.

"How many books are there?" Mitch asked

I frowned, thinking as I scanned the pages for the right chapter "Well, he started writing these books when he was 74, and he.... died when I was 8..." I said, hesitantly "So there are.......... 962 books."

Ty eyes widened, how old was he when he died?" He asked

"1034." I said, looking up, hoping they believed me.

I guess they did because Mitch, Ty and Jerome were staring at me, wide eyed.

"What?" I asked "I know sorcerers who've lived for a lot longer than that."

Ty just shook his head "Sorry for asking."

I rolled my eyes and then the word 'brine' caught my eye on the paper. "Wait a minute." I murmured, scanning the page, "That's impossible..."

"What?" Ty asked "What do you see?"

I frowned as I read the page. "Well..." I began.

"Well what?" Ty asked "That doesn't sound good."

"What your saying happened to Sky sounds like he became a Brine." I said.

"A Brine?" Mitch asked "What the Nether is a Brine?"

"I guess a simpler way of describing it is that Sky's become a Herobrine hybrid" I said shaking my head as I kept reading, "Something that shouldn't exist."

"What else does it say?" Jerome asked.

"There isn't much information about it." I said "All it says is that it is possible for Herobrine to pass on his DNA, to someone else. This person will become a loyal servant to Herobrine and will do anything he asks, even kill his family if he asked him too..."

Mitch and Jerome looked at each other worriedly and Bella looked at Ty, who was looking at me with worry.

"What does it say about reversing it?" Ty asked

I shook my head "It doesn't say anything about reversing it."

"What?!" Ty, Jerome and Mitch all shouted at once.

"I'm telling you." I said as calmly as I could "It just says what I just told you."

"Seto that can't be it!" Ty said "There has to be more!"

"Seto, there are the books in the archives." Bella said "They could have something."

I paused, not really wanting to talk about that.

"Seto?" Mitch asked "What's she talking about?"

I sighed "A lot of my grandfather's books are powerful, but dark. I find they're way too dangerous for even me to use. In truth, they scare me. There might be a book on reversing this, I mean, each book is on a different topic. This books on hybrids." I said closing the book. "Only it's gonna take time for me too find it..."

"We don't have time!" Ty muttered

"Well you're gonna have to make time!" I sighed "I may be a sorcerer, but I don't know everything!"

Ty opened his mouth to reply, when the door to the library door burst open and a frantic Jordan (Perpetual) came running in.

"Guys someone's attacking the villages!"

Ty, Jerome, Mitch and Bella all stood up and looked at him. "Who?" Ty asked, although I could tell he already knew the answer.

"It's Sky." Jordan replied.
