Seto's POV
"It's Sky." Jordan replied.
Ty swore and turned to the others "We have to stop him from killing anyone."
Mitch and Jerome nodded and followed Ty and Jordan quickly out of the library.
Bella looked at me "Will you be fine here?" She asked.
I nodded "I'll be fine, just gotta go read the books I promised I'd never even glance at." I said sarcastically
"I'm serious Seto." She replied. "I have to help them so I want to know if you'll be alright here, alone."
I nodded "I'll be ok. Your bow's on your bed, by the way."
Bella nodded and smiled "Thanks Seto." She said, quickly grabbing her bow from her bed in a small area of the library I'd set up for her to sleep in temporarily and following the others.
"Be careful." I said, I cared about Bella like a sister so I didn't want to see her get hurt, she's been through enough.
When she was gone, I sighed and put the book back on the shelf.
I really didn't want to go down to the archives. There was a reason I put those journals down there. They really scare me.
I only use my grandfather's books for spells and facts on Minecraftia I can't remember, but his books are dangerous in the wrong hands, most are even meant for the wrong hands.
The thing is, I told the guys that my grandfather was dead, but that wasn't the whole truth.
The truth was, I didn't know where he was, no one did, so we assume he's dead. When he began writing those journals, he wanted them to be for all young sorcerers to learn all they needed to know about magic and alchemy.
But as he continued to write, he found and studied magic that was, really dark. It corrupted him. And yet, he still continued to write them, he kept trying to convince people in my family, to read his books, knowing that they'd corrupt us just like him, I'm one of the most powerful sorcerers in my family so naturally he kept trying to get me to read them.
When he disappeared, all his journals went to me. Yay...
I've tried destroying most of them, but they have some extremely powerful enchantments on them, so they're practically indestructible. So I did the next best thing, I locked them away in the archives under some of my most powerful enchantments.
Taking a deep breath, I unlocked the door to the archives and opened it to reveal a dark, spiralling stone staircase. I took the unlit torch just by the door and, summoning a small purple flame in my hand, lit it.
I shut the door behind me and began to descend the staircase. As I did, I thought to myself. Is this a good idea? No, but it's the only idea we have. Is it worth it? If it means we can save Sky, then yes.
Before I knew it, I was at the bottom of the staircase and in front of an old wooden door inscribed with purple runes that were glowing faintly, my own magic.
